Oh my, I'm so sorry. Love and strength to your little one!! :hugs: :hugs: sorry I can't help with the stitch question... :hugs:

Aww thanks ladies I cud do with sum hugs xxx.

I really don't know what to say about the stich, as I just had my first one ever placed a week and a half ago.

But good luck. My son was born at exactly 25 weeks back in 2004, and he made it through everything and is doing great now! In fact, we just had his Kindergarten grad today. They say girls handle the stresses of being born early way better than boys. So I'm wishing you nothing but the best, and big hugs!

I'm so so sorry to read this. I am praying for you and your little girl.

My cervical stitch failed - my waters just broke and I got an infection so I'm not sure about damage to the cervix as I wasn't dilating or anything.

I just wanted to send you some big hugs xxxx

i am very sorry your stitch failed that was always myworse fear, i hope your baby will be fine and i am praying for you. they would have noticeds surely if it had lacerated your cervix, i always have cervical pain after birthing, thats normal, if its accompanied with smelly discharge, other than what u recognise as lochia then go see your doc or mention it to midwife or H visitor. lots of hugs x

So sorry to hear that. Am sure your LO will be a strong little fighter. Sending hugs to you both xx

thanks ladies u lot are a great support. i sppose i need a full check b4 i even think about having a baby until then my main concentration is with my baby who has a long road ahead of her. will be back soon xxxx

(((hugs))) have you named your little girl? We named our son while we were waiting to hear news and it helped knowing he had a name. My friend also works in NICU and this with our experience means I know how hard they work, and that they will do everything they can for your little girl. I pray for some positive news for you - Huge hugsxx

Hi hun, so sorry to hear the stitch didn't help you and your baby :nope: I gave birth to my second child at 24wks due to IC, and had an emergency stitch placed which failed. I laboured against that stitch for a week before giving birth, but daren't tell anyone - pretty stupid I know.

My cervix was fine afterwards despite this, and I have recently given birth to monster sized twins at 38wks weighing 7Ibs 3 and 8Ibs 13. My point being that my cervix stood up to this mammoth weight, and the stitch can and does work hun. If you do have another pregnancy in the future, ask for a shirodkar stitch. It's much stronger and works for women with very weak cervixes or women carrying twins.

Good luck with bubs - and just to let you know, my little 24wker is now a strong healthy 5yr old. Stay strong xxx

doctor wants me to scan my uterus next time but yeh a shirodkar is probably the way. but for now im waiting for my lil baby. ill be back soon. xxxxx
