Sounds about right.
My SIL was going to be induced after her waters broke (she eventually went on her own) and they said they would insert the pessary and then send her home for labour to kick in. I think the process is that if after the first pessary your cervix still isn't favourable, they will insert another one. After that, they will break your waters, if possible, and then stick you on the hormone drip.
Pretty sure thats the procedure over here but may vary from area to area.
They will probably put you on the ctg machine before and after the pessary has been put in, just to make sure the baby is happy.
