I've recently moved areas so I had no choice but to change my midwife as we are in a totally different part of the country now, my old MW had me all booked in for the test to see if I have gestational diabetes because my BMI is 30, she explained to me that anyone with a BMI of 30 or more now has to have the test, ok that was fine by me.
BUT my new MW hasn't mentioned anything of the sort, the only thing she has asked is if any family have had GD. I will be 22 weeks this week and nothing has been said about my BMI and weather she will be sending me for the GD test?! I think I will bring it up with her at my next appointment though to be on the safe side.
Could they do things differently in different parts of the country? Or do you think it could be a case of she just hasn't mentioned it yet?
Any advice or experiences welcome ladies
