Change of milk and gaviscon

Just been to docs for Lo's 6 week check and she has given her gaviscon because of her gagging (which she did at appointment)! and we also talked about hungry baby milk as she is regurgitating alot and takes 7oz which doc said is probably too much for her.
Just wondered what you all thought about it and whether to do a straight swop from carton C and G to the powder C and G hungry milk I have just bought. thanks
