Hey everyone - wondering if anyone has been in a similar position.
My little girl is 5 months and has been on AR Aptamil since about 2 weeks - it worked brilliantly when we switched her over from the normal one.

I am now wondering if she still needs to be on it - the general consensus seems to just try it and see, I have a box of normal Aptamil in the cupboard and I am thinking of trying it this afternoon.

Has anyone does this? - did you continue to use the larger teats or go back to the smaller ones? did your LO drink more/less/same of the normal formula?

Thank you :)

For anyone else wondering about this - I tried baby on some 'normal' ready made formula about 30 mins ago and so far so good. So fingers crossed she is not going to be sick now & we are passed the reflux.

I got a carton of ready made because didn't want to buy a big tub and then have to waste it.

My LO is 6 months tomorrow and was terrible refluxy. We have him on Aptamil AR also, he still has large spit ups on it, but I wonder if changing him back to normal will make it worse. The AR makes him quite constipated though so I would love to move him back to regular but I am worried he will wake up more often through the night on the normal formula as its less casein, he still wakes up to 2 times a night as is lol. Don't think I could go back to more then that!!

We had an awful time with reflux :( we bf'ed then went into hip which was great to start with then made things worse then we ended up on sma stay down which we get on precription.

Dd hasn't had any reflux issues from about 7/8 months but we've kept her on it because its free milk and she loves it!

I really do think it is a case of try it and see. I was too scared to switch back but they do grow out of it so I'm sure you'll be fine. Good luck! X

I think I may have spoke to soon. Baby started being sick again yesterday and this morning it was even worse - my bed covers are covered!!! and she was much harder to get to sleep last night - took an hour longer than normal :(

I will see how we get on today but I am thinking we may need to go back to the AR formula.
