changing thread title

How do I change/update my thread title? I have searched but I have not been able to find out how. At the bottom of the page it says that I "may not edit my posts." Help?

I just changed the title on my journal by clicking edit on the original post and then click on go advanced and you change it from there

I think you need a certain number of posts before you're allowed to edit too.
