I am really confused on how to chart correctly. I usually wake up at around 4am to pee, then wake up again at 6:30. At 4, my temps are usually one degree or more, LESS than when I wake up at 6:30. I don't always wake up at 4am to pee, so it's never consistent. And sometimes when I wake up to pee at 4am, I can't go back to sleep.

Also, the thermometer I have is a regular one, but goes to the tenth degree.

Does anyone have any tricks for staying consistent? My temps are all over the place and originally my O Date was CD14, then FF changed it to the 16th, but I don't know if it's because of my erratic testing. I've tried to do my own research, but I figured someone on the boards would be much more knowledgeable than myself.

I've tried to check CM, and I don't really like it and I never know for sure how to classify it.

Your body temp will rise when you get up so what you’re looking for is your lowest temp. In your situation I’d be recording the 4am one.
I use an Ava bracelet now which takes my skin temp repeatedly over night (along with a few other parameters) and records the lowest. It also predicts my fertile window and confirms ovulation. I’ve found it less stressful than using a bbt thermometer!

Record at 4AM.
If you dont wake that night, record when you wake at your normal time.

The important part is to record after 4-8hours of sleep and not to move before you do it. Even if you buff it up a couple times, fertility friend is usually pretty good at detecting O.

Also I just took a look at your chart and you appear to be doing it right. Some people are triphasic too.
