Hi there! I want to start charting so I get to know how my cycles work. Any sites that anyone recommends or certain types of basal thermometers? As a reminder - I'm in the US :)

I've just started ttc, but I have joined up 'MyMonthlyCycle.' The site is very clear and easy to use and actually emails you with your predicted ov days. It is probably more accurate if your cycles are regular.

I was told about fertility friend and I use it, I think it is great. This is my 1st month charting my temp and I have found it really easy.

If you chart your temperature, what are you looking for? If you are ovulating, does your temperature rise or go down? And by how much?

By charting it gives you an idea of when you are ovulating, but charting every month you will start to see a pattern. You will see a raise after you have ovulated 3 increases in a row and then your temp staying high means you have already ovulated.

I hope I have explained this right.

All you do is put your temp in everyday and fertility and friend will do the rest.

Good luck hun

I use fertility friend.

With a thermometer, make sure it takes your temp to two decimal places.

For a normal cycle your temp will rise after ovulation and stay up untill AF is due where it will fall again.

Fertility friend will determine a coverline based on your temps you enter and its when you get 3 temps above this coverline it will tell you, you have ovulated.

Thanks for the advice - I'm looking for a thermometer now ;)
