Im thinking about getting the chicco polly swing up https://www.very.co.uk/chicco-polly...sSellType=pzone2&parentProductId=prod13446514

Has anyone got any experience with this swing?
Also do you think a swing is a good investment?
I keep being told having one is a godsend.

I have it. Haven't used it yet but it's lovely and can't wait to get baby in it

I have it, my only complaint is you need to spend an extra 20 quid on batteries, but thats a given with swings anyway. I can't wait to use it!!

What colour did you ladies get?, i was going to get red but now im thinking i prefer the green! Its for a girl..

I have the beige? https://www.mothercare.com/Chicco-Polly-Swing-Up---Castlerock/539476,default,pd.html

xxx i like the green though!

Swings are a life saver!!!!! I had the fisherprice rainforest swing - my daughter was very content in it, I've gone for a motion soother this time which is a lot more compact, but if it doesn't have same effect I'll be out shopping straight away!

Forgot to mention, as they are only used for 6 months you can buy off ebay, I bought mine second hand and sold it for a profit - was still in perfect condition when I sold it!

Is buying a swing cost effective? How long can baby use it for?

6 months - or until they can sit up.

I wouldn't be without one - I'd never have got anything done! It allowed me to cook, iron, clean up - even have a poo!!!!!

I had one for my first baby and he hated it! Was gutted as everyone elses babies loved their swings! Kept it so hopefully get some use out of it this time.

Do you find there isnt much difference in the speed settings? Im wondering if mine is faulty, i bought batteries today and gave it a try, i cant notice a difference in the speed, and a couple of times it didnt start swinging until i gave it a nudge

I totally get what you mean, mine doesnt speed up loads or anything at all. Once it gets going it can go quite fast but when you click it to slow down it doesnt and vice versa x

At least i know its not just mine! I messaged my friend earlier and she said a swings speed is more noticeable with baby in it, so maybe thats why

I have the green one although baby not here yet to have used it. I wasn't expecting it to be quite as big as it is but that's my fault for not having looked at the dimensions (it's above the height of our kitchen counters). Good though that it can fold flatter to be put in a cupboard.

It does indeed need numerous batteries (and different sized batteries, which is annoying) and I have also noticed that the swing speed is pretty fast even on the slowest setting....

A family member bought ours a month ago at £149 and just seen that lots of places have them for £99 now. Grrr.

x

Yeah paid £99 for mine, there doesnt seem any difference with speed settings.. At least i know mine isnt faulty
