My 4yr old son has got chicken pox and I'm worrying about my little girl catching them.
With her being so small and her immune system won't be as strong is it something I have to seek advice for? My HV said not to worry cause she might not get them but I've googled it and it says it could be dangerous or complicated if she gets them.

Any1 had their preemies catch it and what happened? She's still only 13weeks(2weeks corrected)
I know full term babies r usually immune to the disease but r preemies not?

Hi there, my LO caught chicken pox at 7 months actual 5 corrected. She caught it from my 3 yr old, we thought she had avoided it but exactly 21 days after his spots appeared her came out. I have been told it is v hard for babies under a yr to catch it but who knows. Anyway she was covered but actually coped v well. I know your little one is younger but i'm sure if she gets it she will be fine. Also it was about this time last year and i was happy that my LO caught it in the summer as in the winter she had constant cold etc so she did get over it quickly. Here's hoping for no spots!
