Child support agency help please

Ok so i put in a claim for the father of my baby to start paying for his child as i thought it was about time he did...so they opened the case which is now up and running i got the phone call today about it anyway they said that he can only pay £1.67 a week??? he works gets a wage o £250 a week? how can that be what im i ment to buy with that? im a single mum.
could i take this court? regards

Is he self employed? Sounds like his fiddled it! If he is then I would report to tax fraud as his obviously not declaring everything.

Did u ask y it was only that amount? That is the most pathetic figure I've ever heard & I don't understand how they've come up with that! Even if FOB is on benefits u get £5 out of it... where the hell do they get £1.67 from.

If his not self employed then u need to get onto CSA & get them to reassess/chase up his boss... Have they actually been through his boss or just taking his word for what he earns? I would speak to ur case worker ASAP!

Unfortunately courts don't deal with maintenance anymore as thats what the CSA are for(even though their crap!) But CSA have the powers etc to take him to court and even send round bailiffs...

He could be working cash in hand or lying about his income, cos i thought even if they fob is on job seekers they paid like 5 pound a week.
