Chloes sma white update!!

Chloe had gold all day yesterday and we had a lovely day, none of the problems we had on saturday. So I've decided shes obviously not ill or unhappy, so I'm going to give her a couple of feeds of white again today and if she is unhappy today I think I can safely say its the milk, if sh's ok I'll assume she had an 'off day' on saturday and stick with the white to see if it makes a difference to her feeding habits

just wondering, hope you don't mind me asking...why did you decide to give chloe SMA white? Alasdair is a mega hungry baby and I haven't gone onto it or been recommend to and I'm wondering if it's worth a go with him or not.

Edit: scrap that! Just read your other post. I'm quite comforted by the fact that Chloe takes 7oz...I felt like Ally was totally being greedy when he pushes 7. But if Chloe takes that much too, I'm v.reassured!

I call chloe my little porker, she can have 7oz and be screaming for more after 2 hours. I found it emotionally draining, thinking she was having too much and making herself ill, but the best piece of advice i read in one of my books was 'dont get caught up with numbers- looking and the time and watching the ounces- just give them what they want when they want. its easier said than done, but it made me feel better knowing that giving her that much is ok.

I am trying white for selfish reasons unfortunately- if it helps her settle for a bit longer between feeds its better for me. Wow, that sounds awful.

SMA white is off the menu, she had it yesterday and we had an awful day, she cried all day, didnt sleep from 10am til bedtime and was sick a couple of times. OH was convinced she just needed to get used to it but I said I didnt think it was that, it was when he changed her nappy and her poo had big bits of what looked like slime in that he admitted I was right and went out and bought me a tim of gold. She has that at 8pm and slept til 6:30.

Gold it is then!!!
