I was taking Loratadine prior to falling pregnancy and was switched over to Chlorphenamine when I went for my Pre Pregnancy check up as I was told this is the antihistamine of choice in pregnancy.
However I have been doing lots of research (STUPIDLY too late! :dohh:) because now I am out of the 12 weeks I may have done irriversable damage to my baby as I have found that it should be avoided in the 1st and 3rd trimesters.

Have any of you taken this in pregnancy (Especially tri 1) and had a healthy baby?

Could you point me to the information that says it should be avoided in the first trimester? I could only find info about use in the third causing seizures after birth. If it makes you feel any better, my sister-in-law took benadryl, phenergan and zofran through her entire pregnancy and baby is fine.

contact a exposure in pregnancy info service OTIS in US; ENTIS in Europe. Google it for website. They usually have free call centers available.
