I know it seems ages away yet but I will have a 4 year old so santa sacks all around which means my little girl who is due in just over a week will need one to so we can keep the santa belief going. But.... What can you buy a 2 month old??? My little boy was just over a month old on his first christmas and we didn't do anything..

How about something simple like a keepsake bear? Or a few toys that will be needed later on down the line

I know what you mean though,DS2 will be 5 months at Christmas, I'm just planning on re gifting some of DS1 old baby toys. It'll be more for DS1 than DS2!

I guess I am lucky that my lo will be almost 4 months but doesn't have an older sibling so we don't really have to do anything.

Growing up we got a lot of basic items like socks or apples. You could go with things like diaper wipes, rattles, blocks/toys, jars of baby food.

Ds#2 was 5 weeks old last year. I put in socks, bibs, a book, a spinning balls toy (cheap thing), some stacking cups, some Christmas vests and I think that was it x

We wrapped next size clothes and bits she would need when more mobile. My LO was 7 months old last Xmas and thought the wrapping paper was hilarious :D

Exactly this! Dd will be almost 5 & is already asking what ds is getting for Christmas!

I would probably give soft fabric rattles as Thomas was holding them around 9 weeks and Sophie by 12 weeks.

I'm having this same dilemma, dd will be 4 and really understands Christmas this year and Santa and we can't have youngest dd getting nothing as she won't understand. She's already got so much though from birth gifts and hand me downs. I've so far bought a buggy book - any more suggestions gladly welcome!

I bought my son's Christmas present yesterday. I wanted a sentimental gift.
It's the cutest personalised book, from www.lostmy.name
I'm totally buying them as gifts for my friends in the future too. You should definitely check it out. I'm so excited for it to arrive!

Thanks for all of your suggestions. I wish I had thought about this a bit more before hand as wrapping up things we have already brought such as next sized clothes is a great idea although DS has seen them so cannot do that now.

I've managed to get a couple of bits. A really basic touchy feely book that had pictures of animals on. Thought my DS could get involved in reading and use his imagination to tell her about the animals and I've got her a teething giraffe toy and a box of 4 cubes that have different textures. I may still get her some clothes such as socks and head bands. I don't think it'll matter how much she gets just as long as DS sees her getting something.
