its an Irish name that OH isnt too fond of but i LOVE it what do u ladies think?i dont really hear of it much lately with all the new names coming along...or names like Louise??i like ordinary names :haha:

How do you pronounce it, do you pronouce it the same as Keira - "Key-Ra" or "Key-Are-Ra" my friend called her LO Chiara as in the Lioness from lion king, i like both versions though xx

It's cute!
It's nicer than the Keira/Kira spelling 'cause it's less common!
Fight for it!

I really like it, think it's really pretty but it reminds me of the singer.. unless it's pronounced differently? :)

its not like the singer coz hers is pronounced si ear ra the Ciara i like is pronounced ceer a did i do that right?

I like it and prefer the Irish spelling . xx

I love the name Sierra -- spelled Sierra or Ciara...
Also love the name Kiara -- spelled Kiara or Chiara...

Kira (keer-a) & Kiera (key-air-a) are ok too.

I wanted Chiara but decided against it after i posted on here & saw SOOOO many different pronounciations... I have a name that people constantly misspronounce (Tamara) & i don't want that for my daughter...

I do love Ciara but would not think to pronounce it the way you seem to want it pronounced - (Ceer-a?). I would pronounce it like the singer...

I just love it
Unfortunately I used to work with a mad girl from Derry called Ciara and I just couldn't use it cause it reminds me of her!

ha ha well so far i only know really nice Ciaras i just hope it stays that way until i have a lil girl!! just need a second name now!

My niece is Ciara said like Keera but we arent in Ireland and so here everyone just assumes its Sierra so her entire life she will be correcting people which I would hate

:dohh::dohh: oh dear :( i would hate that.....

i think it's lovely. of course i am used to the name because i'm irish :haha: everyone will know it but it doesn't seem to be being used alot anymore so there won'tt be 5 others in her class

I love it, it was my top option this time an last if we'd have had a girl!
We'd pronounce it ceer-a to! I like the spelling more than keira

It's often problem with foreign names here in the US, people like how they're spelled but they don't do the correct pronounciation..My 2nd daughter is Kyra, which is the greek spelling and it's pronounced Keer-uh as well, but people constantly pronounce it K-eye-ruh, or Kay-ruh.
I really love Chiara, which is italian and pronounced Key-are-uh but the Lion king association killed that choice for us..that's why she ended up being Kyra. I also love the spelling Keira..
