Clear Blue Easy Ovulation Test - Help!

I am new to this site and TTC#1, YAY! I purchased the Clear Blue Easy ovulation digital test sticks to predict ovulation and with recommendations by the users on Amazon, they said to test twice a day. I have been testing for the past couple days now with no luck but yesterday morning I got a circle (no hormone detected) but at night I got a smiley face!!! I was excited because this is my first month using this, however...I tested again this morning and got another circle. Why would I get a positive result at night but not in the morning? Was this a false positive for the hormone? Please help!!

You could maybe have had your surge PM rather than AM. I have my surge AM but neg PM

Also sending you loads of babydust as I just got my BFP..A friend of mine said this to me when she got her BFP last month and it worked after I was TTC for over a year

Try testing around 3 or 4 in the afternoon. From what I've read, LH works differently than HCG so something about waiting for it to synthesize til the afternoon gives you the most accurate results. Could have been a short surge... which is fine all you need is a surge!
