Hey, Please can someone help me out Im getting a bit worried. I have done a clear blue digi test and it came back saying 1-2 weeks when really i should be 5-6 weeks pregnant so surely i should be getting a 3+ if everything is ok with baby? My last period was 25th May and i have a 35 day cycle which makes me 5weeks? - im confused!!!

Put zero stock in that!! I remember the last time (with DS) I was in first tri section people saying the same thing. They went on to have happy healthy babies. It's just not accurate.

Please try and not panic. i did a test and and it said 2-3 weeks did the other one when i was 6 weeks it still said 2-3. i was so worried that it said the same 8 days later put hada scan and they put me back a week! I really didnt understand cause only dtd once and sure of my dates and my midwife said you can implant late. i still have not got 3+ even a week after that but webt back for a scan and saw a bean with a heartbeat :) im sure ur be fine x

I've read that hcg levels can fluctuate too which would explain a lower reading the further along you go. I wouldn't worry about it, I've seen many posts now about the clear blue indicator being wrong. I think the box says it is only 75% accurate which is pretty poor - a one in quarter chance of being wrong! Try not to worry x

Those tests actually tell you how long ago you concieved so say for example you had a 28 day cycle and you tested on the day you missed your period, the test would say 1-2 weeks pregnant. If you tested a week after a missed period it would say 2-3 weeks pregnant when you were actually 4-5 weeks pregnant going by your last period. It does say this in the instructions if you read them. They can be off depending on your hormone levels. Dont worry im sure everything is fine :) x

Hmmm. I agree that they can be off, but I would call the doctor to get betas done for peace of mind.

Have you ever looked at a chart of "average" hCG levels for early pregnancy? The ranges are enormous! The tests have to pick a much narrower range, so sometimes they're off on estimating conception.

I agree with jellybean... get your doctor to run some betas (for the sake of your sanity, if nothing else! :) )

Some people dont have as much HCG as they should but have healthy pregnancies, the tests are right, but everyones different!

They are unreliable at the best of times & the chemist advised me not to use them!! x
