Clearblue digitals 2-3 then 3+ then back to 2-3???

They really are the work of the devil, I got 1-2 at 8dpo so figured I should get 2-3 at 13 dpo, I took one that morning and got 1-2 again! even though I've seen my hcg rocket over that period I paniced, went and bought some more and later that evening took another and bam 2-3! so I stepped away lol. I have my first beta today, second on weds so depending on what that is saying will depend on when I do my last one cos I'm not buying anymore of these buggers, they cost a fortune!

Clearblue really knew what they were doing when they invented these! They must be rolling in it! I refuse to buy anymore of these, even if I get preganant again, it's just not worth the stress. I read the instructions and it mentions on there about getting a lower result sometimes if you test on consecutive days, due to HCG fluctuating in the first stages, also I guess if your borderline then if your urine is diluted then it will bring up another result.

I was panicking thinking it was ectopic becuase of fluctuating but the doctors and EPU have said not to worry as my HCG blood in the beginning was rising brilliantly. I just can't wait for Wednesday!

I was concerned when i found out i was pregnant, my midwife set out my dates and i was 6weeks and a day or 2 when i did my digi, and it came up with 2-3 not 3+ and was like oh but i did another the next day in the morning and not at night time like the day before and got my 3+ i havent done one since then xx

Hi! I've just found your post online as I've experienced the same thing today. Last Sunday I tested positive and the screen said that I'd conceived 2-3 weeks earlier. Today I tested again as I've been having sim brown spotting and the test said that I conceived 1-2 weeks ago.

Is this a bad sign in your experience? Xx

I had a MMC 3 months ago so im overly panicked this time anyway, as well as the brown spotting and cramps i've been getting, I can only assume this isnt good news

Looks like Gem is over 35 weeks pregnant judging by her ticker so it must have been ok!

Yes all was fine! Baby boy due in January. So it was just the clear blue tests giving misleading results.
Definitely wont be using them as a progress checker in future. They are good but that was a bit scary! X

It worked out okay for me and have heard about clear blue doing this a few times.

I also had brown spotting and severe cramps in the beginning.

I went to the docs and they sent me to EPU for scans. Have u been to docs yet?

Did u test first thing in the morning? First wee in morning. These tests can send u potty though, I spent a fortune on them!

A similar thing happened to me. They said 2-3 for 2 solid weeks. The day of my scan it was 2-3 but my scan showed a 5+ week old sac. 2 weeks later and we had a heartbeat. Now 14+4 weeks they really are not great for checking progress c

I actually asked a doctor who has been hired by clearblue about them when I didn't get my 3+ after 5 weeks and he said the indicator is inaccurate and more trouble than it's worth. Straight from the mouth of clearblue staff!

Oh well there isnt much I can say other than the pain you're feeling is your uterus trying to get rid of the foetus. Stupid old dudd didn't do and examination of me so I was in such a panic after that .I then went to early preg ward and had a scan. They dated me at 5 weeks and said yolk sac is there , too early for a heartbeat and that spotting can just be one of those things. Also the pain is a cyst on my right ovary which apparently is completely normal. I have done a clearblu test yesterday and it still only says 2-3 weeks. The last one I did was just over a week ago. So now I am back to panic mode as the spotting is still there. I have another scan this thurs to check on progress. Did everything work out for you gem ? I just hate this waiting around. I didnt experience any of this with my first pregnancy

Hi everything worked out fine for me, they are a nightmare those clearblues!

The levels may just not have gone over what it needs to show 3+. If your 5 weeks now that's only just 3+. The fact they've seen a yolk sac is a very good sign. I went for an early scan and all we saw was a yolk sac and 2 weeks later there was a little peanut with a heartbeat. Also your hcg levels need to be a certain level to show certain stages of ur pregnancy on a scan.

The clearblue levels are as follows

1-2 weeks = 25miu to 200miu
2-3 weeks = 201miu to 2000miu
3+ weeks = >2000miu

So when u had ur first test they may have been 200 or so then double every 48-72 hours, so if its only been a week since u last tested it may not be over that 2000 mark yet.

I know how awful it is waiting with that awful feeling in pit of ur stomach but don't do what I did and let them clearblues give u doubt. They didn't work for me like they should and Max is here laid next to me.

Did u do the test first morning pee? Try not going to loo on the night so it's more concentrated.

I think they can only see stuff on the US when the levels are over 2000.... Seriously they are the work of the devil and about as reliable as the weather

Well had the scan. The yolk sac has doubled in size but they cant see anything in it. They are 99% sure it will end in miscarriage. I have another scan next week to double check. Such a shame

Hi ladies. Mine clear blue went from 3+ to 2-3. Today I've been in hospital unfortunately it was an ectopic pregnancy. My other symptoms was some shooting crampy pains and my boobs went softer hence why I re tested. Trust me I googled like mad and spend loads on them digi tests.
I was on progesterone pessary because this is my 16th misscarage now 4th ectopic. Good luck ladies I know it's not what you want to hear.
