Hi guys!

Has anyone Brought or thought about buying a Clearblue fertility Monitor, or any other kind of monitor?
I have trouble with ovulation kits, so i thought i might by one and give it ago,
However they are really pricey and im wondering wether anyone has tried one and if it works for them,

Its supposed to be 99%accurate and also it helps 89% of women to conceive in 2 cycles? as its supposed to measure 2 types of hormones so in effect it gives you a 6 day window?

Anyway comments and thoughts,

Katiex

I would imagine if most of the ladies in here are TTC#1, you won't find many that have had luck with it. ;)

However, I can tell you from someone that has been on this board for 2.5 years and seen many ladies get pg and have kids -- the CBFM is a real winner. I've seen many ladies use them with success. There is actually a CBFM that has been passed around several of my BnB friends and it gets them bfps usually within 1-2 cycles. It has just made its way to the next girl and will hopefully be bringing her a bfp for her second baby soon!

I'd say if you have the funds for one and really want a baby soon, give it a go. Can't hurt and will probably help!

GL!!

eek! Thank you! im thinking maybe give it a go, im already spending a fortune lol, so why not consentrate all my efforts in one thing!

Actually ive just found another monitor which sounds abot better, now im torn!!! but im feeling hopeful!

I have a CBFM it is an amazing Monitor and well worth the money, i found i wasnt ovulating when i thought i was!

I bought A clearblue Fertilty monitor for it to say I was Ovulating and try the test stickes ones to say was ovulating spent over £400 on the things for My doctor to turn around yesterday and say blood tests results say I dont Ovulate! So dont believe everything it says! x

I just ordered mine today :happydance: I hope it works for me and for you if you do choose to order it. I'm in the US and my health insurance covers the cost 100%

@ x.kim.x.b ~ like all things, it's a try and error decision. I'm sorry it didn't work for you. Sometimes our bodies mimic ovulation and maybe that's why it told you that your were 'peak' on certain days. I know that was happening to me with regular digital opks a few cycles ago.

Well im not sure if theres a different name for it, but from what i read its called the DUOFERTILITY Monitor and it bascially does the same thing but instead of pee'ing in the sticks, you wear a patch on your arm all day, the you put it in the machein(i think) and plug it in your pc, you also get fertility expert advice and your money back if you dont conceive in a year! you can buy it in easy payments, and i know they post overseas also! they also give you a pack with pregnancy test advice you can even ring em up! made by the university of cambridge!
Hope this helps you! :flower:

I got one! I haven't used it yet, since I just got it and this is the first day of my cycle, but I'm soo excited about it!

I have had one for 5 months and I think it works well; however no bb yet :(
keep trying I guess!

good luck!! ;)

Heyaa Im popping in from 3rd tri was having a nosey round :) I had my mirena coil removed the start of september 10.. I brought a CBFM as had heard all the good reviews and figured Id give it a go.. I had a period then started using it and was pregnant by 2nd cycle (bearing in mind I still had hormones in my system the first cycle).. I found out I was an early ovulator ovulating on day 10, if Id have gone by textbook day 14 ovulating I would have been missing my most fertile time every month.. Im now due to have my baby girl in July.. I would definately recommend the CBFM I have known other people aswell who have used it and got pregnant within 3 months.. Iv stored mine away now for when I decide to have my next baby definately worth the money to me.. hope thats helped and gl with ttc xxx

Yeah I know it does come with only a 99% accurate but just a bit gutting thinking you have ovulated when you havent but oh well!
Has Any one got any info about the duo fertilty monitor cuz appartley that is amazing but its £600 #-o but if you dont get pregnant with in the year you get your money back! x

I forgot to mention aswell I temped on the cycle I got pregnant aswell so that confirmed my ovulation.. sorry not heard of the duo fertility monitor.. that price seems a bit steep to me personally but Im sure there are plenty out there willing to pay it xx

if u look on ebay there are loads of them, most start at 99p. if you can get past that someone has used them :/ then they are quite a bargain... lol xx

I have CBFM and this is my second month using it. So far I really like it. I was getting really annoyed with the cheap ovulation predictors. I would spend too much time figuring out the lines! My gyno also recommended it because I have irregular cycles.

Ive cbfm and sorry to say this but its true .Its my 8th cycle no joy so far.But it does give you 6days .There's a thread called CBFM on the ttc forum check it out , great bunch of girls and their story .

It certainly doesnt harm to have cbfm xx

I was looking into getting a CBFM but wanted to hold off until I saw my Gyno. I went to see my fam Dr back in March after a yr of ttc and she told me that usually they don't refer people to a gyno for fertility issues until 2 yrs of ttc, but since I am young && she doesn't think I am ovulating she wanted to get me in asap. Just figured I would wait for those results and go from there... although I do temp every day. :) Anything to up my chances.

I bought a ovacue but I havent used it yet. It says to start on cycle day 2-4. I almost bought a cbfm but I felt buying the sticks would have been a waste of time bc im irregular. Its worth it ihope

I used a CBFM and I got my BFP after using it for 3 cycles- we'd been TTC for a few cycles before that. I found it really helpful, and made me feel a bit more in control too, knowing when and what my body was up to!

Good luck :)

I just got mine this past Friday, and have already started using it! I'm on cycle day 3. Hoping it helps me out a little. I too get frustrated with internet cheapies.

Also, I'm in the US and my insurance covered the cost of the monitor and sticks. PLus every month they send me the sticks for no extra fee. :happydance: For those in the US... my insurance is Aetna HMO
