Clogged up ear with infection

Hello

I woke up yesterday with a blocked ear, i could hardly hear out of it. I went to the doctors and he told me i had an ear infection and gave me Amoxicillin capsules to take. But i was wondering if there is any home remedys i could try to clear it. I have Beconase nasal spray, as i have read it can work, but i'm not sure weather to try it.

If there's nothing i can try, how long will it take for the antibiotics to work? And when should i get my hearing back..

The antibiotics can take between 1-3 days to begin working, depending on your system. I used to get ear infections commonly, and my mum used to buy a herbal flusher, basically a warm herb mixture poured down your ear. It used to work really well.
