Clomid Advice Needed!!

I'm new to posting......
Question: Is it possible to get NEGATIVE OPKs & still ovulate?

37 y/o ttc for 2 months. 1st cycle of Clomid CD 5-9 got a VERY INTENSE reaction = ovulation pain starting CD14, cramping, frequent urination, sore nips. Lasted for 3 weeks!! Progesterone levels were .9 on CD 26- Doc says I didn't ovulate but then said he tested too late!! (OPK's all negative- 2x daily). I spotted DARK brown blood for 5 days- tested progesterone again which moved up to 1.6. Started 2nd cycle of clomid CD 5-9.

I am now CD 15 and have NO SIGNS of ovulation like I did the first month. No cramping, (high sex drive), nothing like I experienced the first month- I've been checking my CM which was watery- and then became EWCM only after an orgasm- but I also had sex & used preseed a few hours earlier so maybe from that?

Any advice about clomid, ovulation, typical ovulation day after clomid, anything!!! I'm obsessing about everything & that can't be good!

hmmm sorry I cant help much, do you normally not ovulate and thats why you are on clomid? Im on clomid but I ovulate already, its just to boost my chances. I am being monitored so they know how my follciles are doing then I take the HCG trigger shot to bring on ovulation....perhaps your clinic could do that for you rather than guessing? I would try and BD every other day just to try and ensure there is sperm up there regardless. good luck

I am new to posting- is this the way to respond to your post? Hope so!!
Not sure if I ovulate on my own. I was on BCPs for 15 years- went off a year ago- did not have a period on my own afer 7 months. Tried progesterone for 10 days (10mg) no luck!! 2 months later, tried 20mg daily for 10 days- got AF! Went one more month on progesterone 10 days, got AF then started Clomid.
I am tiny- only weigh 100 pounds but healthy/fit. (I eat a lot of veggies!!)
What is an HCG trigger shot? Should I talk to my doc about this? I live in a VERY small town in Vermont- the OBGYN I am seeing is probably 70 years old. Nothing against age but.....he didn't know to test my progesterone at day 21 which I learned online!! Yikes!
