Hi ladies :)

We're back to TTC after a few months off - our donor bailed on us, and we needed some time to regroup. So now we're back -- with a new donor, and my first round of Clomid.

I took it CD5 - CD9; today is CD10. 50mg.

My cycles are a bit irregular, but I tend to O around CD15. For anyone who's used Clomid -- did it alter your cycle? In what way?

Also, I've started temping again and noticed that my temps are higher than they were on the cycles with no Clomid. I'm assuming this is related... I'm wondering if I'll have trouble seeing my temp spike, as the temps I'm seeing now are pretty normal immediately-post-ovulation temps for me. Anyone have experience with that?

I'd also love to hear a Clomid success story, because I need some hope.

Hey--

This is actually my first cycle on Clomid...did not chart bbt prior to this, but my temps are hovering right around where yours are :-)

I am on CD 10 today and I took my Clomid 3-7, hoping I ovulate for the very first time :-)

Good luck and baby dust to you!

Hey we're cycle buddies, haha! FX that you ovulate!! Temp took a little dive today... No Clomid since Monday, and today's was where I'm used to seeing my pre-O temps.

I so hope this works!

Hello! I haven't been temping, note to self to buy a thermometer, but I took Clomid days 5-9. Today is CD9 actually!

My temp took a dive this morning too!!!!! I have no idea what this means!!! It was hovering at around 97.3 and it dove all the way to 96.8 this morning.

My higher temps are still going... yesterday was O day, and this morning, they were higher than they've ever been at 1DPO. My past two days' were high, too. Strange.

I'm so hoping this works.

Good luck! Temps rising after O is a good sign! It seems clomid hasn't worked for me :(. I am cd 18 and no O.

Hi ladies!! I can't answer your question about Clomid affecting cycle length because I was on it for PCOS but I am a Clomid success story!! Took 2 months of 50mg which didn't produce ovulation, then 3 months of 100mg which resulted in a chemical pregnancy then 2 months later my BFP!!

It works, good luck!!

Ugh. No idea what's going on with this cycle. Took my Clomid CD5 - CD9... had two days of high temps right around O... FF is telling me that I ovulated CD15, but I didn't get my + OPK or fertile CM until CD16! And then I had a bigger temp jump. I've always had good luck with OPK's in the past, never had an issue with them. I did have two days of awful sleep on CD16 & CD17, but that's not unusual for me, and it's never made my temps go that high pre-O.

I'm wondering if I completely missed my O, since we did AI on CD16 & CD17, and I assumed I O'd on CD17...

Anyone have any thoughts? Did Clomid mess with my temps? Did I miss O? UGH UGH UGH. What the heck

You may not have missed O, the egg can hang out for a little bit and FF is just giving you it's best guess based on your temps...I think that it takes temps as its main factor and sometimes ignores secondary things like OPK results, don't panic. You are not out until the witch shows!

I just got my first positive OPK this morning, and I'm on CD 20. My temperature shot up this morning too....so I'm kind of worried that FF is going to tell me I ovulated yesterday as well.

I start my first clomid cycle tomorrow (CD 3-7) 100mg and Im SO EXCITED and nervous. Im also taking estradiol (cd 8-12) and promethium (cd 18-28) . Has anyone does this combo or heard anything about it? I have never temped a full cycle because i get frustrated, but this month I definitely am! How does everyone manage their stress during this? Im so anxious.

mllatlanta--

This was my first cycle on Clomid, I did not take any additional supplements with it....I will say that I got side effects up until I got a positive OPK... The worst side effect was headaches, I ended up just taking tylenol every morning....(I think I am 2dpo)...and a couple days prior to O my headaches went away (coincidence? not sure)...I was more emotional this month, and my skin broke out a little bit...but, everything was manageable (and totally worth it if I get a sticky bean!)....I took my Clomid in the middle of the day, some people say to take it at night, not sure if it makes a difference.

To manage stress during cycles, my advice would be just to tell yourself you are doing all that you can!.....I find temping very frustrating (I never get a good nights sleep, and I wake up at all different times)....so I may discontinue that over the next few months..my doc does blood work to confirm O anyhow.

this is music to my ears, thank you! :) I've just been diagnosed with PCOS, feeling like my world has come crashing down :( worrying I'll never carry another child etc. silly really, but I panic so much! to all of you taking it, did your GP give you clomid, or was it a fertility clinic? as I have a docs app next Tuesday, but I don't know if he can give me anything? x

So, I usually start spotting anywhere from 4DPO to 13DPO. Well, I'm here at 13DPO, and not a spot to be seen. This is the longest I've ever gone without. I'm assuming it's related to the Clomid? I'm having the rest of my typical PMS signs (sore boobs, crazy dreams)... and my temp went down yesterday, which is pretty normal.. but was back up today? So I don't know what to think. If I make it through today without spotting, I'll let myself test tomorrow... but anyone know if Clomid can help with spotting? Not gonna lie, I'm kind of enjoying not bleeding for two weeks LOL

I was on Clomid for 5 cycles (it didn't work for me, but I'm a strange case), and my doctor even advised me not to temp because it can sometimes throw off temp charts... I wasn't going to anyway because like 1nceUponATime I find it stressful, but just thought I'd mention that :-). It's also often prescribed to make cycles more timely and can make women ovulate earlier... although some women o as late as CD25 with it! 2Moms2Be, usually I've heard that it increases the chances of spotting because it can lower estrogen levels, but it could be that since Clomid thins out the lining of the uterus a bit (normally not enough to affect TTC until after multiple rounds!), maybe that is keeping the spotting at bay?

mllatlanta, just make sure that you don't start the prometrium (or is promethium a different med?) until after a confirmed ovulation. I started it twice after the RE "assumed" I'd ovulated, and my follies developed into cysts instead of releasing... it wasn't until later that I heard from a lot of other TTC ladies and my OB/GYN that progesterone should only be taken when you're 100% sure you've ovulated because it can prevent an egg from releasing. The spike in progesterone makes your body think you've already o'ed and that it needs to halt any more activity! Doctors often say "start X on CDY" because it's easy, and they go by when women ovulate *on average* on different medications (average is 17 on Clomid), but all bodies are different!
