ok so I started spotting on Sunday and it went into Monday but I haven't spot since then, should I count Sunday as day 1 and start clomid today, or wait until full AF....still hoping for my bfp...but its looking doubtful..

My FS advised me that Day 1 should be a 'proper' bleed and not spotting.

Some women experience spotting anywhere up to 10 days before AF truly starts.

I would advise waiting until it starts properly.

Hope it doesn't and you get a BFP though. X

HEY ohmyitschelsi - i just wanted to tell you that my RE doc told me even if i see and sign of spotting he wanted me to call them and for me to let them know... i havent had a reg cycle in a long time and he wanted to get me start on clomid asap... sooo i would count the first day of spotting bc thats what my doc said to do.. BUT call your OB or RE whomever you are seeing and ask them to be POSITIVE!... hope this helps hun i know the stress... i am goin thru it too!:hugs:

Just wanted to let you know that for my first cycle of clomid I had to call the doctor to ask this same question and he said count my spotting as day one - though I think different doctors have different views

I think you should definitely ask your doctor because on here I think you will get a pretty even vote between wait for full flow to count and first day of spotting. From personal experience I say wait for full flow, because I have spotted up to 4 days before full flow AF.

Hi,

I would wait for full af. I waited several months before I could start chlomid as I never got af. I asked if I could just start taking it anyways and was told no.

In the end they gave me provera to force me to have a period but told me I had to have a 'real good bleed' otherwise the lining quality would not be good for implantation.

So I personally would wait a few days. if you still dont' get af, then contact your doctor. If you don't ge periods often, it may be worth asking about provera.

Good Luck.

I take provera every month to get my AF, I took it for 10 days this month and the last day I took it was last Friday, so tomorrow it will be 7 days since my last pill...so I am just wondering where the heck is my AF! And what should I do about the clomid situation...wait...take it now...haha, awful.

I didn't get my period until about 10 days after my last provera tablet.... and I have heard some woman say it can take up to 3 weeks?

Maybe you should give you doctor a call.

Good luck. x

Hope AF comes soon! When I took Provera, my dr said it can take up to 2 weeks, and if it still hasn't come in 3 weeks, to call them. I would wait to start Clomid until you get a "real" AF. Good luck!! :hugs: I just started Clomid yesterday!
