Clomid - has it shortened cycles for anyone?

Hi there,

I'd like to ask all you ladies who have taken clomid whether it actually reduced the length of cycles for any of you? I started 3 rounds of clomid earlier this year (unexplained infertility for 2 years) and where as before i would start spotting on CD29 and usually have a 30 day cycle, since clomid i spot on day 27 (even earlier sometimes) and have a 28 day or shorter cycle. It hasn't moved my ovulation though - still have positive OPK on CD14. So it's shortened my luteal phase which can't be a good thing? Day21 bloods show that i definately ovulated each time. I've just got another 3 months supply but wondering if it's doing any good.

when i had clomid about 5 years ago it didn't end up getting my period for 4 cycles. i was given provera to induce it after bloods confirmed i O'ed & had not bled by cd28. i think if your still having a 12 day LP or longer its ok. i think it only matters if your lp drops below 10 days.

My cycles were 30 days back in the day when i actually HAD cycles - my first clomid cycle was 26 days. x
