So last night was unsuccessful. The preseed is not holding up to the job. My husband says when air hits it, it gets a sticky feel to it. I was not having any issues with the feel, but he was. So I stopped by the drug store & picked up the generic robitussin & plan to drink it all day. The good thing is everyone at work will just think I am sick. Erin, I wanted to let you know the description on the bottle is chest ccongestion. It only has that G word active ingredient. I found it at Rite Aid for about $5. I would def go that route instead of mucinex...even the generic mucinex is twice as much.

My insides are feeling tight like cycle 1 of clomid. Having some AF like cramps. It seems as if everything inside is becoming enlarged. So I am actually excited about all that. Still no peak on the monitor. But since I have had highs, we have put in a good effort. Just need to get a successful attempt in tonight.

You cracked me up with that Robitussin thing... plan on drinking it all day long, LOL! Too funny! Thank you for the tips! Ya know, when I was at the dang store at lunchtime yesterday, I looked everywhere for one with just the G in it. I managed to finally narrow it down to Chest Congestion/Cough Suppressant. I'm so mad though, because it was $10, and it isn't the right thing! I think the cough suppressant ingredient can dry things up, so it would be counter-productive in a way, I THINK. So i'm about to run back to Walgreen's and return this one (I didnt open it, thank goodness), and see if I can find the one that is JUST chest congestion. I sware, I dont know why all the cough syrups must have all these ingredients when sometimes you just need an expectorant! That didnt used to be hard to find! ugh.

Well def look for robitussin generic (walgreens brand). I found it this morning, however it was a HUGE bottle. So I just went to Rite Aide & got it. Mine says chest congestion. It was only 100 mg of G, some had 200 mg but other stuff in it. I am not sure what dries you up, so I had to make sure it only had the G.

I feel like crap today. My whole insides feel enlarged. I am bloated, I feel constipated (but I'm not), cramps off & on, and just an overall tight feeling inside. This is similar to cycle 1 on clomid, so I am not worried. But to make things worse, we have had 2 failed attempts the past 2 nights. I still only have a high on the monitor, but I just know based on the number of days & how I am feeling, that a peak is coming. It is just frustrating. I know my husband is just anxious. He has his appointment today & he just has too much on his mind. It's frustrating for me because it is taking a lot for me to get in to it because of how my body feels...& to put in everything I got & still not be able to get it done it just stressful. And today is his first day back to work. So I have to rush home & try to get one in quickly so we are staying on track.

Ugh...life should not have to be this way for us.

So I am trying to see if my dr will start some testing in Jan. I do not want to go to my appt in Jan just to have her have me come back in Feb to start testing.

MissStacy, that is odd ..."actual" isn't usually put in there until AFTER the fact. "Predicted" fertile days is there as an estimator, and then once you start getting EWCM, using OPKs, get a temp rise or whatever, it is eventually able to determine what your "actual" fertile days were for that cycle. I have never seen "actual" fertile days come up until I'm over halfway through my cycle. Did you happen to enter any info at all from your last cycle? I know you weren't temping, but did you happen to enter your AF or O into the calendar from last cycle? If not, I have no clue what's up with that. But just pay attention to the "Predicted" fertile days. Your CM and temp rise will then eventually confirm what your "actual" fertile days ended up being. TBH, I dont even pay attention to what FF predicts my fertile days to be since I use OPKs anyway. Those are more accurate for determining when I'm about to O, and then the temp rise just confirms that it happened.

beaglemom, I'm so sorry you had an unsuccessful attempt again last night! Your poor DH must be under a TON of stress, poor guy. And you're right...seeing the urologist probably wasn't helping any. I hope you have better luck today! At least you're not showing Peak on your monitor yet, although I'm sure you'd still like to be getting those spermies in there anyway!

I didnt want to put the actual testing off a whole month, and I knew if I just went in to talk to my dr, it would just be a consult first, and then scheduling appts for the tests, ugh. So I'm looking forward to seeing him on Dec 11th to discuss blood hormone tests, as well as HSG, and whatever they might do in their office before referring to a FS, and then I want to get these tests scheduled for January. I'm ready to get some things ruled out, or if there's a problem, I'm ready to get them to fix it! LOL However, I do still have a good feeling about this cycle, I really do.... But I'm still gonna see my dr. And if I go ahead and schedule all the tests, then I can always cancel if this cycle goes well.

So, what do they mean, because of your time off BC? Have you been off for a long time or short time?

Basically I have been off BC for 10 years. We tried for about 4...gave up & just went about life without kids, happy, & not even thinking about it...did that for I would say about 5 years. Then I turned 30 in 2012....my clock started up...took a year to get my husband on the same page...now we have been aggressively trying since August. I really do not count the 5-6 years in between. We are not super active sexually & honestly, I have known plenty of women who did fine with the rhythm method for BC. As we all know, timing is everything...it is very likely not to even come close to hitting the mark during those times.

I am still very optimistic...I have never had any issues as far my womanly parts go...normal cycles...opks show I ovulate. I think I may have a minor issue (maybe hormone levels or something) & then when you add the low count it all adds up. I do not let all the time off BC discourage me because I don't think it means much if you aren't really trying.

So I hope to wake up in the AM with an email from our psychic!!!

I added in some of my cervix info and CM for today and it took away those actual fertile days so that's good. I didn't really plan to use it to predict my O days since I pretty much know and I use OPKs too. I just thought it was super weird.

It sucks that you have to go through this. I think we all seem to be in a similar situation. We seem to have relatively normal cycles, O on our own and no real health issues. We are going to get there, we just have a more complicated journey than most.

So still another high on my monitor. I looked back & it seems my first high was on CD 10. So today is the 7th day in a row with no peak. Maybe I missed the surge or something. I really wish I had been using opks in the afternoon as well. Either way, if I never get a peak, at least I will know we have been keeping up pretty well on the baby making schedule. So it looks like I may be having a long cycle this month. Maybe that means if I do get pregnant this cycle, I won't find out I am pregnant until Jan just like the psychic predicted.

I have not been using the opks at all because the monitor has done fairly well. Remember last month I o'd early...like cd 11. I still feel good though about this cycle. Also I woke up with morning with the ewcm...so I really expect a high tomorrow. I am trying not to buy any opks because I just need to top spending the money...the monitor does all the work I really need.

I have one friend who knows I am TTC. She also had a long journey that ended with a surprise BFP she didn't expect after 4 years. So anyways, she is very silly & told me last night to sit on Santa's lap & ask for a baby. I told her sitting on a strange man's lap may get me pregnant, but not in the way I was expecting...lol!

Today is my last day of my pills, so I figured start drinking it the last couple days of the clomid and maybe I'll stay ahead of it and will end up seeing some EWCM by the time I O. I really hope so! I'll also use the Preseed religiously as well.

It's funny about the jealously stuff. I feel like I show all the signs of a very fertile person. My mom & sister both had 2 accidential pregnancies. So sometimes the fertile signs annoy me because I feel like I try to do everything right as far as timing goes. And I feel like my husband's count is not awful. Maybe with the higher dose, you will get more of the fertile signs.

About the drying up, I have also heard to stay hydrated...which is something I need to work on...especially if I am going to get pregnant soon...I would hate to be passing out.

So I checked out the Chinese gender predictor for fun to compare to my reading. If I conceive this month, or January, it is predicted to be a boy. If I conceive in April (resulting in a January baby) it is a girl. Here is the link if you want to compare.
