Hi ladies,

I'm 35 and we have been TTC our first child for over a year now. After having surgery to remove polyps my MD put me on Clomid 50mg (days 1 through 5) and then progesterone 200mg starting on day 15 until I get my period or 12 weeks pregnant. I am also on Metformin 750ER once a day. I have never been diagnosed with PCOS, but my MD tells me that the Metform will help increase the quality of my eggs.

This month is my first cycle with clomid/progesterone and I have noticed that my BB temps have not spiked like normal even though I know I have ovulated. Is this something anyone else has experienced?

Thank you

I haven't experienced that exact thing. But I know clomid raises my bbt to post o levels. But usually a few days it goes back to normal right before o.

On clomid my temps were a little higher then normal before ovulation probably due to its anti estrogen effects, then I would usually get a huge dip at ovulation followed by the temp shift indicating ovulation had occurred, Are you being monitored via U/S or having CD 21 progesterone tested?.

Thank you for the responses!

Lisap, that is exactly what my temps ended up doing! I am not being monitored by ultrasound or having my progesterone tested at this time.

During clomid days my temperatures were a bit erratic, but I guess that is normal anyway because of menses. A couple of days after stopping the clomid my temperatures went down a bit and then finally jumped dramatically 2 days after my opk said I ovulated.

The clomid didn't bring ovulation on any sooner than my normal 22 days so I don't know if my doctor will want to change dosage yet. He wanted me closer to 14 days and that's why I tried the clomid to begin with. I don't like taking this medication because of some of the warnings, but if it gets us pregnant, I will. I guess I will have to wait and see what happens.

I would raise the dose , if you have had a good response then you should ovulate about 7 -10 days after the last pill is taken. I usually waited to start temping after the last clomid dose. Best of luck!
