Hi! I am on clomid for the first time ever. I take the 50mg for 5days starting on day 5 of cycle. A little history about me : I have VERY irregular periods. I have goen years without one. My first pregnancy was when I was 17 and I had a very healthy babyboy. He is now 6 years old. (I had my son from a previous relationship but my husband and I were dating by the time my son was born so my husband is daddy to my son =) My husband also has a son from a previous marriage. So after 5 years of trying to conceive..my gyno labeled us with secondary infertility. I did the hsg test and Semen analysis and both were great! So my doctor prescribed the clomid 50 mg for 3 months. I asked him why only 3 months instead of 6 like I have been reading and he said if i was to get pregnant it would be within 3 months of clomid. Anyways I am on cycle day 8 now...ONE more pill to go for this round. Last night while having sex I had some cramps..not to bad just was enough to notice....is that any relation to clomid? What cycle day should I start ovulation testing? My dr didnt say he just told me to baby dance every other day starting on the first day after my last pill. One more question is that I usually take my pill at or a little before 8:30am and today my lazy butt accidently slept in until 9:30am..so I took my pill at 9:35am...Will that affect my cycle? Will I still ovulate.....I looked up clomid info and it said if i miss a dose to contact my doctor but I havent missed a dose ..was just an hour late...I would call and ask my nurse for assurance but I bug her enough lol I think she is gettin tired of me callin so Ill be embarrased if I have to say "Hi its me again" HAHAHA so has anyone been an hour late before and asked their nurse or doctor if its still okay? :dohh:I worry alot but hey im just so ready to be a mommy again! Im tired of bfn and so anxious to see a bfP!!!! Any help will be appreciated..thanks

These are the directions i got from my dr...

If you are late to takea dose....take it immdiatly..as soon as you can.

If you miss a dose....and its alredy ime to take the next dose....take both together.

So...you should be fine!

Hey thank you. That helps alot. I also have another issue..I dont know if you could answer but I have had migraines before TTC and tonight I had another migraine (which I doubt is from clomid) but not thinking I took 2 excedrine migraines and it stopped the pain but got to thinkin I hope it doesnt interfere with ovulation bc i know some medicines you cant take with others ...so freakin out i asked a local pharmacist and she said it wouldnt hurt or interfere with taking clomid ....so im just double checking with others to see if you think it wouldnt interfere with me ovulating.. I have just one more pill to take and I do NOT want to mess this up lol..

Hello :)

I took clomid cycle day 3-7 and I got a positive OPK on the CD 13.

Doc said to start bd every 2ns day from five days after the last tablet of clomid.

I had nausia, tiredness and blinding headaches from the clomid and the doc told me to only take
panadol.

I took 1 of my tablets an hour later than the others. It did not stop me from ovulating, I honestly did not think much of it -- now I am stressing haha.

I am testing for a BFP (I hope) on the 22nd of Dec.

Goodluck and baby dust xx

Aw good luck...Im finishing my last pill today..I hope we both get a bfp..let me know if u do!!

Hey there

I am also on clomid, 100mg days 2-6. Interesting that your doc seems to think it will def happen by cycle 3! How can he know that??

They say you can ovulate 5-10 days after your last pill. So if your last pill is CD9 then the earliest you can expect to ovulate is CD14. So maybe start doing OPKs from about CD11?

Clomid can definitely cause cramps, though not sure how quickly that kicks in so if you were cramping the first day you took it that could be something else. But it's totally possible. For me I have found the cramping continues throughout the 2WW, though I think this is more to do with having higher progesterone levels because of a better ovulation.

I wouldn't worry about taking it an hour late. I take mine roughly the same time but never exactly!

Afraid I don't know anything about the migraine tablets but if your pharmacist says its ok then I'm sure you're fine x
