clomid questions

Hi, a friend of mine has been TTC for 3 years now, she has been diagnoised with PSOS. when she started TTC she git pregnant straight away and lost it at about 12 weeks i think. since then no pregnancies and i dont think she ovulates either.

Doctors keep telling her different things and saying she needs clomid, she lost 2 stone as they asked but again saw another doctor who this time told her she needed to loose at least another stone because otherwise she wouldnt be abe to carry to term. she is over weight but i would say she was obsese.

Plus one doctor says she needs to have a scan with dye and stuff and the new doctor says she doesnt.

she considered going privite but is not frightened that this doctor is right and that if she gets clomid and is still over weight she will miscarry.

just looing for the protocol really, what happens, how long TTC before clomid etc?

Theres plenty of overweight women who have babies - many massively obese - and they carry them perfectly well. I was overweight when I had my first (not quite obese) and i was fine x

thats what i think too, i was prob bordering on obese when i conceived (i lost 3 stone during pregnancy with morning sickness).

i undertstand that its better to be in the best possible health before TTC but what are others expereinces for being prescribed clomid?

when i was prscribed clomid i was told that u had to have a bmi of less than 30 also i had to have a hsg scan and a months worth of weekly blood tests before i could get it but its different at every hospital xx

My FS gave me the clomid without even weighing me. I have a BMI of 33. Hope your friend gets the help she needs soon xx

my fs gave me my clomid with out saying anything about weight and i am 12stone haha and i go private
