Clomid round 2 no Ovulation ??

really fed up at the moment, I am on my second go of clomid, last month i ovulated, had pains and ewcm and +OPK + blood test to confirm.

This month I have had nothing, no pain no ewcm no +opk.

Dr says I don't need another blood test because if I O'v the first time I definately would have this time.

I know my body though and I am pretty sure I did not.

Does anyone know anything about this, can it happen, can you respond to clomid the first time but not the second? Maybe I just missed my peak on the OPK and didn't have any symptoms and the DR is right?

Yep, I was exactly the same! Ovulated beautifully on CD18 first cycle then nothing the next cycle. Had to take Provera to kickstart a period that month. Then took 6 more Clomid cycles and ovulated on each one of them.
What CD are you?

Hey thanks for replying I am now on CD20, took the clomid CD 2-6

so it may still work next month then? I hope so.

Oh yeah, if you ovulated at least once on Clomid it means you are not resitant. So noreason why you wont ovulate again. But if you dont get natural af you may need to take Provera before starting Clomid again

I have taken clomid a total of 12 cycles since 2007. I had confirmed ovulation for 7 of the cycles, no ovulation confirmed for 4 cycles, and not sure about this cycle because it has been unmonitored. (no opks or bloodwork) So it can work one time and not the next. It helped me conceive my son back in 2008 but this time around no pregnancy and it took 150mg to even get ovulation. I go to FS nov 7.

Not a clue honey however I can tell you what happened to me.

I'm on Femara instead of clomid. I had proven ovulation one month, then the next month- this month I either didn't ovulate or it was a very poor ovulation as my day 21 blood for progesterone had seriously decreased. In fact it was so much lower than before any medication.

What cd are you? I would call and ask for blood-work. The reason being, you might need your dosage upped.

I'm on CD 14 and haven't ovulated and I'm on a regular 26 day cycle it should have happened CD 14 like last month that I took Clomid...but its just not happening...not even near a positive OPK yet


And if you look at my chart....I've pretty much flat lined no hope....ehhh

maybe its just late?? its frustrating I know, I am waiting to see if my AF shows up now

Hi Sophe I'm not sure I can answer your question but my temps this cycle (clomid round 2)went up the day after I got a so called positive (I say it like that because I'm not convinced I have ov'd - I've no sore boobs).

So according to FF I'm 6dpo but I still don't believe I have ov'd at all. Last cycle I had sore boobs - so this time it just feels different. In fact reading your first post about what your doctor said I'm a bit more hopeful that I am infact in my 2ww.

maybe you did just miss the surge. do you have any typical symptoms currently?

no i don't have anything at all. my AF is due on Tuesday and normally by now I am feeling it on the way but nothing yet.

I just have to wait and see I think a late AF is confirmation for me of no ovulation... hoping round 3 goes better FX'd

Did you do anything different the 2nd time around?

I'm in the TWW of my 3rd cycle of Clomid. All 3 cycles have been 100mg, CD4-8. Cycles #1 and #3 I ovulated on CD17.

Cycle #2 I didn't ovulate until CD33. My doctor had told me to wait to call her until I was 2 weeks late and still getting negative tests... technically since I was temping I didn't really have to do that since I KNEW I didn't ovulate, but I decided to go ahead and wait, and ovulated 2 days after my clomid AF would've been due! I did some things different that cycle though as well. I took the clomid in the morning instead of the evening like the other 2 cycles, and I also drank grapefruit juice for CM. I think the juice was the kicker for me -- never again!
