Hi ladies I had my first appointment today with the fertility specialist and he has given me provera to bring on a period and then I have to begin clomid 50mg on days 3-7. Soooooooo excited as finally things are moving along!! Just wondering if any of you ladies fancy sharing your clomid success stories with me? How many cycles did it take to work? Did you have many side effects?
Baby dust to each and every one of you xxxx :happydance:

Clomid definitely seems to make me more fertile. I've gotten pregnant with it every time I've used it as long as I also have well-timed BD - in all three cases it was close to or on ovulation day. I didn't have many side effects, except some breast twinges in the 2ww and a longer LP overall (15/16 days) on my non-bfp cycles.

Hi Mojo.

I had been ttc since August 2010. I too had to take provera in order to start chlomid. i was on 50mg days 2-6.

I got my BFP (luckily) on my first round on December 21st. I am almost 8 weeks now. I am absolutely crapping it now though and can't seem to get calm. :nope: It still doesn't seem real.

I don't know if you use OPK's or not but I did. I had a positive OPK days 9 and 10. Then they disappeared. Then I had another on day 15 and 16. I was also a bit dryer whilst on the chlomid, and it was a bit painful when we bd. I'd heard about preseed but wasn't convinced. A pharmacist recommended I used KY Jelly, but to put it on my OH but NOT where ejaculation takes place. More on the shaft.

Good Luck and sorry if that was TMI! xxx

I didn't have too many side effects, although to be honest, my memory is a bit crap at the minute!

So how many clomid babies do you have? How many rounds all together have you had?

a1b2c3: so that's why I haven't seen you on here. I used to see you on here a lot when I joined in November. Congratulations! I'm so happy for you!!! You give me hope!

I'm not pregnant, but I'm on my second round of Clomid and it has really helped with ovulation. I ovulated earlier than normal, and I found out today that I ovulated two eggs instead of one. So far it has done what it's supposed to do, now let's see if it gets me pregnant.

Hi Phoenix.

Thank you. It's so scary, ti doesn't seem real. I thought I would stop worrying about things, but to be honest, I think I'm even worse now! I also said I wouldn't complain about pregnancy, but my god, I don't think I have ever been so sick in my life. Still, I'm trying to be grateful, I know how lucky I am.

I really hope you all get your BFP soon. I hope you don't mind me popping in to this forum. I like to see how you ladies are getting on. adn to be honest.... I still kind of feel like I belong in here more so then the other forum?!

I don't mind. I like to hear from those who managed to cross over to the other side...lol. So I have to ask the obvious question...did you ever feel any different? Or did you just POAS and saw a BFP? I don't know why I think I'm going to suddenly feel different one day and just know I'm pg? Well, different during the 2ww anyway, I'm sure I'll feel different by week 7 or something like that. I already know I'm going to be paranoid about a miscarriage, and that I'll be paranoid until like week 20, but like you said, even if I'm sick as a dog, I'm going to try my best to not complain.

lol @ 'the other side'... I like that.

Um, I have to say, I didn't feel a huge amount different when I got my BFP, although I did get a cold sore? (I guess my body was working over time!) My boobs were definately sore though. I found out when I was 4weeks 4 days. It was around 5 weeks when I started suffering. It was the boobs! They HURT! I went from a size 34c to 34dd by the time I was 6 weeks. It was also from 5 weeks that I had vomiting and diarrhea (it still hasn't really stopped yet). And I'm sad to say that I think my boobs are still growing  The only other thing that I found a bit strange was that I was constantly feeling like I was gonig to get my period. I felt like it until roughly last week.

Well I have been seen by the early pregnancy unit as I had a bit of bleeding between christmas and new year and i was so scared. I have actually had 2 scans now, and last time I saw the heartbeat. Well I say I saw it, they had to point it out! lol. It was kind of weird though as there wasn't a baby?

I have to say though, I don't think the worrying is going to stop. I think once you see a scan, you just get more attached. I panic over everything. Currently, it's sneezing as I've got a cold

Hi mojo! I was ttc since Aug 2010 and started on clomid in July 2011 after being diagnosed with pcos. I just didn't ovulate before. I didn't respond to 50mg or 100mg, but did on 150mg and got my BFP on my 3rd try at that dose :cloud9: I was also given an hcg shot to trigger ovulation each round of 150mg.

I didn't get much in the way of symptoms with any dose, tho I did use preseed or conceive plus to help things along. Apart from my first round, all my clomid cycles were scan monitored, and I also charted my temp throughout.

I too am terrified somehing might go wrong, but just trying to enjoy every day, sickness and all. I just feel so lucky.

Don't give up hope. I really hope it works first time for you, but don't lose hope if it doesn't. The main thing for now is that you've got a plan of action...that's well worth being excited over!! Heaps of babydust for you!! :dust: xx

Thanks for replying ladies I feel really positive at the moment!! Just wondering, I am a little concerned I am not going to be monitored via scans at all!? I have to freeze urine samples to hand in in a months time. Has anyone been tracked this way when using clomid?? xxxxxxx

haha, i've never heard of frozen pee before?!

I wasn't monitored either if that makes you feel any better. Some poeple do, some don't. I didn't have periods very often, and dind't tend to ovulate, so I guess I wasn't much of a risk of 'over stimulating'.

That makes sense. I already ovulate on my own, so maybe that's why they want to monitor me. Also, usually but not always, gyno's tend to do unmonitored and FS's tend to do monitored.

I have ovulated once in the last year and a half so maybe thats why then as I wont be high risk for over stilumlation either. The FS just said I have to pee once weekly after period, freeze the pee and hand them in once I have four samples. Apparently they can tell everything they need to know from that lol xx

oh I've heard of that before!! If I'd responded at 50mg or 100mg they would have monitored me by pee sample. Lots of women aren't scan monitored, so I wouldn't worry too much. Just let them know if you get any weird pains. x

Hi, I only have one Clomid baby so far. She was born in 2009 on my second cycle of Clomid (first cycle BD wasn't well-timed). No complications at all in that pregnancy. I started ttc#2 last year 2011, and went back on Clomid. Got pregnant on my first cycle of it in 2011, but miscarried at 9 weeks. Resumed ttc in October and got pregnant in November (2nd cycle for that round), but it turned out to be a chemical pregnancy at 4 weeks 3 days. :(

So I get pregnant easily on Clomid, so far it's just a matter of having a sticky one. I don't think Clomid was the cause in the previous mcs, though. It might have to do with my age (35) and also because I have mild PCOS.

I'm going to take a short break from it and maybe resume sometime in the next few months. This last cycle would've been my 7th.

Are you in the tww? I'm hoping this cycle is successful for you!

No BFP yet, but I started Progesterone 10 days before, then started, oin cd 3-7 I took clomid, now currently 6 dpo, hopefully something happens.
