Im not sure whether to re-start my clomid today! Please help :(

I spotted a few days ago and then nothing for a few days, yesterday evening a light bleed and then again today near enough nothing. Did a test 2 days ago and :BFN:

Im unsure whether to restart my clomid today - can anyone give me any advice please?

Also I have experienced sore BB's and a strange metal taste for a week or so now ?

Hi, did not want to read and run but what is CD? when would your AF be due?

Hi

Im unsure of everything at the moment.

My last cycle was erratic;

CD1 - 13/06/09

Clomid - 14/06/09 - 18/06/09

Full flow stopped 21/06/09

CD1 - 03/07/09 - didnt take Clomid as on hols and didnt think that I would be due on until a week or so after I got back (spotted all way through hols for 2 weeks tho!) advised by gyno to wait until next natural period arrived before taking next round of clomid and also to have HSG and bloods done.

So i dont really know where I am :(

From what i have heard Clomid can make you have spotting, I have been lucky, this is my first cycle on it and so far no spotting on it, if you have had spotting all the way through and your period is not due for another week then I would think this spotting is not your AF, I would call your gyno and ask him to be certain though....he may tell you to start it anyway...

Hi Louise,
Sore boobs and the metallic taste are pregnancy symptoms but saying that since i started clomid i have had them. Spotting is also common but you seem to have had a very long cycle this month I would test again and went for your af b4 you start your next round unless your gynae tells you too. Finger crossed for you x

It sounds like a super long cycle. I'd give your doctor a call and ask for progesterone to start your period. Do you usually have irregular cycles? My doctor lets me take progesterone when I have a BFN on CD35. Otherwise it can really drag on.

I've done Clomid for three rounds (on number 4) and never had problems with spotting.

Im used to the long long cycles, usually 4 months!!

Its the first time that i have experienced the sore boobs but the metalic taste has happened once before. Should i still be getting the side effects of clomid as i havent taken it for 2 months now?

Its an absolute nightmare and I dont really seem to have anyone apart from my hubby and you guys to talk to about it :(

And to top it off everyone i know is either pregnant, just had their first child or has a family already!!

All the Clomid should be out of your system within 6 weeks of taking the last pill.

I'm sometimes jealous of the ladies who have regular cycles, because then at least you know when to expect the :witch:. I hope you get some answers!

So there is a possibility the signs im having could mean :BFP: ?!

Will have to dig out the :test:

Hi Ladies,
I have a question. I am taking progesterone from DPO1 until :witch:
because my doc says it sustains pregnancy.
Yet it sounds like Diana's doc is having her take progesterone to stimulate :witch:
Anyone know how this conflicting directions for the use of the same hormone makes any sense?
xxx

p.s. I have read that ginger root, brew, tea, etc. will bring on :witch:

It can seem confusing. During a normal cycle, the cyst that burst to release the egg starts producing progesterone. This helps prepare the body for pregnancy. When no pregnancy occurs, the level of progesterone drops, and that drop is what causes your body to menstruate. When implantation occurs, the embryo sends starts producing its own hormones that keep :witch: away.

So ... progesterone keeps :witch: away until you stop taking it. When you stop taking it, within a few days :witch: will arrive. Doctors use progesterone both to bring on :witch: and correct a luteal phase deficiency.
