Clomid what cycle day is best? 1 or 3 or 5? also...Ladies does weight have anything to do with clomid? Thanks for helping

Has your doctor advised as to what days to take it on? I was put on it for Days 3 -7 but have seen a lot of women prescribed it for CD 2-6.

In the UK most people are prescribed days 2-6. I remember when I was on it I noticed that people in the US and Canada were advised to take it later. Never did work out why though?!

I am on Cd 5-9 and I have my fingers crossed...Just wondering what Cd is best or how many have BFP's on WHAT days... I am hopeful BUT my clock is making a tick tock sound...Thanks for responding fitzy79, millnsy

Hi I took clomid days 2-6 my fs said you need to make sure it is a proper period as well hence day 2 not 1. It made me hungier and put on weight thou x try to drink plenty of water hope you get ur bfp soon x

i'm on cycle 2 & i was told to take mine days 3-7. i was told to carry on as normal with the clomid this cycle even though i had a miscarriage but now my cycle is out by a week already. he said they say to take it on different days because of the quality of the egg or something, wasn't really listening to that bit as i was just so excited to be given clomid lol xxx good luck xxx

I took mine cd4-8. From what I remember reading in the past was that the different days you take Clomid on are dependant on the cause for the Clomid. Don't qoute me on this because I have a horrble memory. But from what I remember the docs will prescribe Clomid earlier in a cycle to develop more follicles and later in the cycle to develop higher qaulity follicles. So for someone that has trouble ovulating and doesn't produce enough follicles earlier cycle days are prescribed. For those that can produce enough follicles but have frequent miscarriages due to low qaulity follicles then Clomid later in the cycle helps. I honestly can't remember where I got this information or whether it is exactly true, but it does make some sense to me. Hope I could help
