Okay ladies, I'm a little nervous about even asking this but I'm getting mixed information online so I thought it was better to just ask it out right...

My Health insurance pretty much tells my doctors our financial situation... although I'd love to just switch OBs, almost every OB I've ever been too looks and acts the same way towards DH and me, basically they sometimes make me feel like we shouldn't have children... and since we've been having so much trouble TTC I've been looking for alternatives...

I've heard so many great stories about Clomid and that you can get it if you order online without a prescription... which I don't think I'll ever get from my doctors because of their obvious bias :(

But it scares me to go down that road at the same time, because, well it's medication and to order it without a doctor's recommendation makes me very nervous.... I've heard from women that they have never had a problem, but you just 'never know' you know?

I've seen the side effects and read how you're 'supposed' to take it and when you're not supposed to take it... Thankfully DH's doctors have been more relax on his requests to test his fertility an they say that he's perfectly fine so the problem has to lie with me :(

We've tried temping, preseed, charting, etc etc, nothing just seems to work and it's been over a year now since our loss... and in the past, even though we did end up conceiving my DD and DS, it took YEARS for that to happen, and a surgery(D&E for blighted ovum) that helped conceive my DD according to my doc who 'scolded' me for getting pregnant with her... (changed from him immediately after that but to someone just as bad -_- ) I mean, even before we started 'seriously' trying, we were doing the 'Not trying but not preventing' way of getting PG since my son was a year old... and he'll be 4 this December! Ugh

So... has anyone ever gone this route before? Again, I feel odd asking but I feel like I must to get the best advice from the best ladies ^_^

I think that taking clomid when it hasn't been prescribed specifically after tests to see if it is for you could be dangerous. I had it but after a whole load of tests and close supervision by a Fertility Specialist. I had no side effects at all but other women do - hair falling out etc so I would be really careful if you decide to take it.

Thank you, I appreciate that. Taking any medication makes me nervous, so without a prescription it makes me even MORE nervous lol so glad to know there are other side effects I'd love to avoid, I guess I'll just have to 'woman up' with my doc and hopefully she won't be so judgmental.

Yes - just be careful. I had no problems with clomid but we are all so different. Your health comes first so just you take care.:flower:
