Maybe my question would be better posted here.....

I am starting my first round of Clomid tomorrow after 14 months of being unable to conceive.

Does Clomid effect the follicular phase? Should I start daily opk's as soon as I stop taking the Clomid or should I wait until when I would normally start testing (around cd 14)?

TIA

I would start testing sooner. At the latest CD 10. I have seen it bring o up quite a bit. On the other hand I have never had it change my LP. That has always been the same.

The length of my follicular phase always depended on when I started the clomid, taken CD 1-5 I would ovulate CD 11, CD 3-7 I would ovulate CD 14, CD 5-9 I would ovulate CD 16. but its a little different for everyone. I always started testing with OPKs a 2-3 days after the last clomid pill, testing while taking clomid can cause a false positive ,testing too late and you risk missing your surge.

Lisa brings up a good point since I take clomid 2-6 I have never had a problem with opks at cd 10. But if you take the later I can see where it could cause a problem.
