hi all . any one here trying for baby and been given clomid but ovulate on there own and all so not getting monitored? xx

Hi there. I'm on clomid, and ovulate on my own. I'm not getting monitored, either. I was given a prescription for 3 months and told if I'm not pregnant in the 3 months to go back to my gyne. Think IUI or IVF will be our next step as this is cycle #16 for us. We have a DS who is 2, and was conceived first try. I do have one blocked tube, so the clomid just helps with stimulation of the eggs.

My RE/FS put me on 100mg of Clomid CD3-7. This is my second round. I am 41 years old. My HSG showed clear tubes. My U/S are good. My 3 day labs are perfect FSH 6.3 (not bad at all for 41)

I am closely monitored, in fact I have my CD8 Clomid Ultrasound Wednesday.
I will ask my RE/FS about age and Clomid start dates..

I took clomid days 5-9. From what I understand you get more follicles from days 3-7, and more mature ones days 5-9. As I ovulate on my own, I produce follicles, so I guess just trying to make them more mature for a better shot??

I started taking 50 mg clomid cycle days 3-7. We repeated that in February upped the March dosage to 100mg and I never got pregnant. I ovulate on my own. Normally CD 14. All clomid did was give me horrible side effects and lengthen my cycles from a perfect 28 days cycle to 31-33 days. I was not monitored. I took a break from meds this month and am TTC naturally. I am going to see a new doctor on Tuesday and hopefully I can get monitored and further treatment. I am 39 soon to be 40 in October and if this next 3 months doesn't work then I am moving on to a RE.

To be honest, I haven't heard that it really makes that much of a difference if you take it days 3-7 or 5-9. I think if clmid works for you, it works. If it doesn't, it doesn't really matter what days you take it on. Good luck to you. I'm 13 DPO, but got a BFN this am, so I think one more cycle, and then back to the doc for me ..sigh

Hi, i'm 37 and I have just started my second round of clomid. I had high hopes after my 21 day test gave me a result of 40.2 but unfortunately it wasn't to be.
Trying not to get stressed out but finding it hard not too!

im about to start my 6th cycle of clomid. Its my last go before i get refered for ivf. Im with you on the stress im constantly stressed and not sleeping. None of which helps with getting pregnant. It has consumed my life. Im nearly 38 and ivf is only available on the nhs until 39 so the pressure is on. I wish you loads of luck xx

I'm about to take my 4th round. Only monitoring would be the 21 day progesterone. I've ovulated each time on the meds. Charting for the last year, I see that I do ovulate on my own (between days 21 and 45) but the luteal phases aren't so great, so maybe I don't produce a good egg.
Clomid just guarantees it for me and I so far, always O on day 16. Last summer I got a BFP on 2nd round, and I'm hoping the same will happen this year!

I just wanted to wish you all luck, I have been on your journey and know how hard and all consuming it gets.

I hope you don't mind me posting I just wanted to share a bit of positivity that clomid can work, in all I did over 6 rounds not monitored, I always took it at night and then I spoke to a consultant who said to take it in a morning (I took it (cd2-7) and he told me to use clear blue ovulation test, the one with the smiley face and tht month we did just that and we got our clomid miracle...

As I said I hope you get your BFP's soon...
