im thinking of using these, maybe lol. where do u buy them? are they easy to use and clean?

my mum is shocked i am even thinking about it lol.

pop over to the natural parenting section :) there is a section on here to buy them preloved :) x

They are dead easy to use and wash. Much more cost effective and better for her. I used sposies on hol and hated it. The worst for me was the smell of wet nappies, which you dont get with cloth.
I use cloth wipes too. I would never use sposies now.

we use both in house and bedtime cloth when we go out we use diposable just makes it easyer than having to take the nappy home. we love r cloth nappys they r easy 2 clean aswell. more easy when its just a wee hehe.

they r far better for there bums though and warmer she looks so comfy and cosy in hers.
we got ours from asda but im unsure if all asdas sell them. they was selling them off and ive never seen them again.

We use FuzziBunz and PopIns, but there are loads of different types. We got ours at a baby show in May from https://www.thecottonnappycompany.co.uk/ .
There are a few stores like this one and I think that they sometimes do demos of the different brands so you can see which ones would be best for you, sometimes they come to baby groups to do this?
We've found ours very easy to use and the FuzziBunz come out of the machine almost dry (although the liners take a bit longer).

What all the others say I cant add more except you can also youtube vids about it to find out more and see how easy they really are :)

I use BumGenius, Bambooty, Issy Bear, Easy Fit Tot Bots and Little Lambs. I love using them, as you don''t get that awful chemical smell, but we do use disposables at night, but if we go out anywhere then i still use the reusable's

love love love them.
Most of mine are ebay cheaqpies (about £4 per nappy)
I also have a few WeeNotions custom nappies!!

I find them so easy to use, even when out and about!!

i got mine from lollipop, google it. the ones im using are called pop&gro.

easy to use and clean

good luck xx

v v easy. i put some piccies of Arianna in hers on Facebook and my friend commented "very cute - but how do you wash these?" to which i replied "um in the washing machine!"

i use ebay cheapies, BumGenius, Fuzzi Bunz, Itti Bitti, Pocketbots, DryBees and am currently on the hunt for Blueberry, Mini Lala, Wee Notions and Cushie Tushies.

Of course your mum is shocked: like most of their generation she has probably never even seen a modern cloth nappy and thinks of cloth as just terry squares, plastic pants, soaking in solutions and safety pins! It takes a bit of education!

I'm using Lollipop Pop 'n' Grow all in ones. I struggled at first with leaking and stuff, but I called customer service and they gave me some great advice and now I have used them successfully for a week without any leakages! I like them because I don't need to buy a new size when he gets bigger as the size can be adjusted. You can get them straight from Lollipop (Google it) but we got ours quite a lot cheaper on e-bay. I think we paid £200 and we got 20 nappies (including boosters), a nappy bin, two mesh bags and some paper liners. I would recommed buying the nappies in microfibre as they dry so very quickly, but try a bamboo booster inside as they seem a little more absorbant. Good luck!!

Im interested in cloth too but im just a bit worried about putting jeans over them.
Are there some smaller ones?
Also what do you do with the poo... drop it in the toilet. I have no idea!!

I know where you're coming from, been there! Show them a few pages of this thread to whet the appetite:

Have you looked here, it's the beginner's guide and very useful:

In addition to nappies you need: a dry pail (bin), mesh bags to line the bin (2 is best so one goes in the wash with the nappies and then the spare re-lines the bin), a wet bag (for your changing bag, for when you change out and need to take your nappies home). Optional extras depending on how you choose to do things: tea tree oil / essential oils (for a sweet smelling bin), fleece liners / paper liners, cloth wipes.

coming back to say you can pick up a tots bots in tesco for £15 - worth a try see if you like it :) x

we use disposable nappy liners and we then just put it in our toppy tippy nappy bin same as we used to with nappys.

its somthing u dont have 2 be strict on if u put jeans on to go out why not use a disposable nappy.

we use both mostly reusable we use maybe one disposable aday if we pop out shopping or somthing:thumbup:.

but one aday is better then 5-10 how i see it it :haha:

I love my cloth!!

So easy to use. It's hard to get your head around until you actually start to use and then it's easy. I recommend buying a bunch of different types of nappies as some will fit your LO's shape/wetting capabilities better than others. I just looked at the natural parenting review thread and bought some. Start with a few and then add more.

I suppose my tips are:

Buy 'birth to potty' ones if you are looking at the more costly ones e.g. Bumgenius (which I love) as they will last. Ollie has already grown out of a couple of his sized ones.

I like the pocket nappies but that's because Oliver is only 3 1/2 mths so don't need loads of layers. The All in Ones can be very bulky.

Give them time -it takes a few washes to get them fully absorbant.

Some clothes (dependant on shape of your LO) may fit differently - I have the problem that Ollie is chunky around the middle at the moment so many of his 3 month clothes are quite tight (although even in sposies they would be a bit tight as he is big for his age). The next size up is fine. As I have just received a bunch of shorts from home I have doctored them by removing the elastic which has worked.

I can't express how happy I am to go to cloth and this site has been so helpful in getting me there. I have gone for some fun prints - e.g. the Blueberries but as it is warm here I am intending on Ollie just doing a nappy and t-shirt combo. So cool!!

Good luck and ask for help in the natural parenting - you will get it.
