CM Question

I was just wondering if anyone could clarify the different CMs for me. I've read the definitions on FF but am still unsure. I have had in the past the thick jelly CM, which to me is EWCM. I have also had a much thinner but also very stretchy CM, now is that EWCM too or is that classed as 'watery' CM? Or is 'watery' literally just wet but not slippery/stretchy at all because I've also been getting this. Creamy is defined as being 'like lotion' but what consistency should that be? I've had some that is almost watery in consistency but a milky/creamy colour!

I know that everyone is different but I haven't even been able to classify my CM most days this month because it doesn't seem to sit neatly in the FF CM classifications as I understand them!

Any insights or fellow confused TTC comments welcome lol!

As far as my charts are concerned (and i'm sure you'll get different response with it)

If it's stretchy and like egg white it's EGCM
If it's shiny to look at and still stretchy/sticky then it's still EGCM
just sticky but not stretchy, ie if you have it on a finger and press your thumb against it and it has a slightly taccy type feel but doesn't stretch more than a few mm it's just sticky
watery is like literally wet to the touch

Mine don't fit exactly either - here's what I class.

Dry (obvious)
Creamy - comes after dry, thicker, usually cloudy, can't really stretch it much or at all, sometimes forms little tiny "balls"
Watery -- can't usually stretch it, fingers just look REALLY wet when I look at it... usually clear but sometimes a little cloudy. This is what I get most around fertile time
EWCM - usually only get for one day, cloudy, thicker than watery but comes after watery instead of before (creamy comes before). In longer "lines" and stretchy, doesn't form balls like creamy does, but looks a lot like creamy. I get very little of this.

Dunno if this helps at all, but hope so!

I would think your thick stretchy stuff is either creamy or EWCM, depending on when it arrives. If you get that right around o time, call it EWCM.
