Hiya - I have recently started to make some bottles of formula in advance (made with hot water to kill bacteria in powder then cooled in the fridge until needed) and then I've been warming in a jug of hot water before giving it to DS.

My question is can you give feed cold from the fridge, will it cause tummy ache, constipation etc? Or is it fine if he will take it?

thanks

personally i would not give formula straight from the fridge, it will cause tummyache most prob x

Yeah straight from the firdge will more than likely give them tummyache

Perhaps just warm it a little so its still cool, just take that edge off the coldness

I would say it depends how old your LO is.

Morgan's been having hers at room temp for some time now, but the last couple of weeks she's had the odd bottle cold out of the fridge. She always prefers to drink water that cold like that too. But she's nearly a year old.

Personally, I would say if your LO is less than say 9/10 months, I would probably warm it slightly, if only to just take the edge off the chill?

How old is LO? If younger, newborn etc. I would definitely say warm it up. Hannah's had milk cold from the fridge since she was 9ish months old though and had no issues

He's only a month old so i will stick to warming it. Thanks for your advice ladies :)
