LO has reflux and the usual baby wind.

Does anyone have any opinions what would be my best option for feeding her?

On the comfort milk she wanted feeding every 2 hours and it seems to be an opinion that it doesn't fill them up for as long.

On the normal + Gaviscon, she was very constipated and this seems to bother her more than the reflux, but feeding approx every 3 hourly.

I now have both milks in the cupboard and cant decide what is best for her. Wondering if I can mix them together. So, in a 100ml she would have 2 scoops normal and 2 scoops comfort.

To my mind this seems a good solution. She would get a bit of relief from comfort milk and a bit more full from the normal milk!

Depends, how old is baby? Coz they tend to feed every few hours when they're younger anyway.

I would stick with comfort milk and increase the amount, she'll take what she needs.
I wouldn't mix the formulas and I don't like the idea of giving Gaviscon to babies, isn't that for adult indigestion?

Hi, shes 11 weeks, but a small 11 weeks at 10lb 4oz (birth weight 5lb 60z at 36+5).

The gaviscon is an 'infant' version prescribed from the GP for the reflux.

She wont take any more at the moment. She only takes between 60 & 120 ml usually, very occasionally she will take 150ml. I put 150ml in every bottle just in case, so get quite a lot of wastage!

I don't know much about mixing formulas but I know some people that do it.... X

I had the same problem but moved to Comfort because of the constipation that Gaviscon brought. She's like a different baby now! Her poo is still kinda firm-ish but is no longer in pain with it.

Hope this helps. I don't think you should be mixing formula though as can upset their delicate tummies xx

Comfort or sma stay down or any AR milk x

Try an anti reflux formula then you will get the best of both worlds. You shouldnt mix formulas.

My boy used to be sick after every feed, tried different brands which didnt help, aptamil comfort didnt help with the sick but did help with constipation... He's now on aptamil anti reflux and hasn't been sick once!!! He's a little windy and his nappys are a little firm but I give him an ounce of water every day and it helps to wetten them up a bit! Best thing I ever did putting him on this milk!
