Until about two hours ago OH and I had planned to get married in a church and have a small reception at my Mum and Dad, and had even booked the church. However I just felt something wasn't right and I felt nervous about the day and the planning, and after a coffee with my Mum and Dad this morning where they suggested having it at a hotel, suddenly that just felt perfect!!
We are now going to have the ceremony at a hotel, then move to a second room for the reception. We have found the perfect hotel and my parents have paid the deposit already, and I am now beside myself with excitement, suddenly the day feels perfect and I can't wait, and OH has seemed so much more excited about it all too!!
So a complete change of plan, and I couldn't be happier!! We are allowed upto 40 guests now in the function room, and on top of that my disabled Nan has now said that she feels she can come aswell, as the hotel has such good access, and on hearing that I could have cried!! She lost my Grandad a few weeks ago, and I was upset that she wasn't coming as it would have been too much in my parents house, and now I feel so happy that she has something positive to look forward to aswell.
I finally feel like my dream day is coming together, all I have to actually do is pick a cake, arrange the marriage license, find a dress and do a seating plan, so simple!!
