Complete Pelvic Rest - Is penetration the issue or is orgasm/semen the issue?

I am going to be hospitalized for almost a month until I deliver baby girl via c-section at 34-35 weeks. I was diagnosed with vasa previa. Prior to diagnosis, we had sex at least once a week and I never had any symptoms. I slipped up one night while he was drunk and we had sex after being on pelvic rest, needless to say I freaked out because my back hurt (hahah) and I went to labor and delivery where I was put on NST and assured my baby girl was okay. I am a cigarette smoker and my obgyn surprised me quite a bit. When he was lecturing me for having sex on pelvic rest, he literally told me "its safer to have sex than it is to smoke" or "smoking is worse than/more dangerous than sex". I was taken back by the comment.

I also was given the transvaginal ultrasound at 28 weeks. The lady giving me the ultrasound was getting all up in me and I was surprised they would/could put me on pelvic rest and then basically put a dildo inside of me much rougher than I would do if I were to have sex with my fiance.

Does anyone know if light sex (in and out a few times, not all the way in and out to be extra careful) one time before I am hospitalized next Monday is a possibility? He is extremely horny and I'm frustrated. I have given him hand jobs and head (but not until he came because he takes forever and being pregnant it makes giving head a chore - not a fun one knowing there is nothing in it for me).

Is it the orgasm and/or semen that could or would cause complications or is it him going inside of me a few times that would cause complications? Please help. I am so frustrated!

I don't think it's the senen that's the issue - it's the penetration and the orgasm that would be the issue on pelvic rest.
