Ok Girls.. I'm looking for some help..

Last weekend I felt the baby!!!! I was laying in bed just about to go to bed for the night and I felt movement! I put my hand on my belly and felt it with my hand! I woke up DH and he was sooo excited cause HE FELT IT TOO!!! it was AMAZING!!!...

Well now... Im getting scared and concerned that I haven't felt my little one at all.. I mean I think I feel some flutters but they're not as prominent as last weekend... I am just about 17 weeks...I hope and pray that everything is Ok with baby...[-o< Any advice???

This is totally normal from what I have read and heard. I felt my little on earlier this week, and as much as I would love, and hope to feel it everyday, it has not happened. Our babies are still little, only about 5 inches long, so they still have quite a bit of room to bounce around. I don't really expect consistant movement till about 20-22 weeks.

:hugs:

Its alright hon, at first you will only feel the baby once in awhile. You might even go days without feeling the baby move because its so early. They don't become regular until around 20weeks+ I would say. So I'm sure your baby is fine :hugs:

Thank you girls.. that makes me feel so much more comfortable now.. and reassured... its just weird how much I felt the little one last weekend so much.. unless I ate something the baby didn't like! hahaa

Hey, I'm only about a week ahead of you and I am going through the same thing. There will be days where I really feel the baby kick and then some days I just won't feel him/her at all. It's starting to get more consistent now, but I think it's totally normal to only be feeling them at certain times. It's just not as strong yet and I wouldn't expect consistent movement until week 20 from what I've been told! :)

Don't worry hun. The first time I felt baby move like crazy I was 16 weeks (after drinking a Starbucks lol) but after that I didn't feel the baby for days... felt like weeks... lol. At the end of week 17 they came back and each day they become a little more then the day before. :hugs:

Its totally normal! I went thru a time from 18-19 weeks where I didn't feel her at all, I got so scared, I thought something happened to her. I think even until you are around 28 weeks is when they say you should be feeling 10 kicks a day. I feel her everyday, but its totally random. Dont worry, :hugs:

hehe, Luckyme, I had just had a cup of tea, my first in forever. I guess the secret is to hop the little ones up on caffine.

I'm so glad I read this post...I was starting to get worried myself. I was feeling movement every day and I haven't really felt in a few days and I was getting worried. Every now and then I feel a flinch down there but when I put my hand there it stops. I guess it will start more soon.

Ok I'm worried now because I havn't felt the baby move ATALL apart from little flutters about a week ago. :|

Dont worry I didnt feel ANY movement intill 21 weeks. Now I feel kicks, but some days I'll go with only 2 or 3. I think they get tired, and slow down sometimes :) No worries I bet your all fine

yups...dont worry, its normal to feel bubs today and nothing much for the next day or two...the kicks will definitely come back! at least that's what I've been through...

good luck!

Again.. Thank you All so much!... I felt the baby yesterday again!! and it brought reassurance back into my life! haha.. But I understand that they are still tiny now and us newbie mommies still won't feel anything until 20 weeks or after. Thanks again!

I felt my 2nd baby at 16 weeks initially, but I had nothing solid or regular til I was around 22 weeks, so you have nothing to worry about hun, it is very common, as baby is still very small! :hugs:x

I dont feel my baby every day, just every now and then. As time goes on baby will get stronger and you'll feel it more :) Im sure theres nothing to worry about hun, but I can totally understand why you are!

:)

xxx

dont worry.... baby still has alot of room to move and 'hide'. midwifes say you should only start to feel regular movement and 10 kicks/movements aday from 28wks. thats when the space is starting to run out.
before then they can be quite unpredictable.
