I have PCOS and usually ovulate on my own around CD28. This month I took tamoxifen (similar to clomid) to induce ovulation earlier and shorten my cycle.
I had 2 strong positive OPK's on CD17 and CD18, along with egg-white cm etc... but no temp rise to confirm ovulation happened. I assumed the tamoxifen hadn't worked and stopped using OPKs.![dohh :dohh: :dohh:](/styles/default/xenforo/smilies/doh.gif)
I am now on CD29 and FF has confirmed ovulation happened 3 days ago, based on higher temps - but has dotted the lines due to the positive OPK's earlier in the cycle.
Is it possible that once I failed to ovulate around CD19 I ovulated when I usually would without medication??? or is it impossible to ovulate once your body gears up for it but then doesn't?
For information, I have always used OPK's and they work well for me usually, so I have no reason to think they weren't right....![Wacko  ](/styles/default/xenforo/smilies/wacko.gif)
