confused about thermometer!

Hi, here's another problem I'm having.

I'm getting frustrated with my bb thermometer. I ordered it from the UK so I could have a Fahrenheit one, which is what I'm used to. It has given me 97.73 for four of the last six days. I don't think that can be right.

When I got this number again today, I also immediately took my temperature on our regular centigrade one. That said 36.5, which is, yep, 97.7. Well, I thought, maybe it's right and my temperatures have stabilized for some reason after looking like the Alps since I started this a month ago.

But I decided to get a new battery this morning, just in case. When I got home from town I took my temperature with the new battery and it was...97.73.

I don't know what to think!

Try the water test...fill a glass with lukewarm water and take its temp.

Lat night's water temp: 96.70

My temp this morning: 97.90

Does this mean the thermometer is basically okay?
