confused about weeks pregnant...

Hi girlies....I am a little confused. Have my first appt on Monday Jan 31st. I of course searched a bazillion due date sites and some say I am 5 weeks 3 days (like ticker below) and some say I am already 6 weeks. I don't understand it....well I guess I do.

LMP Dec 21st so the sites saying I am six weeks count as follows.....

how many weeks are we in fact pregnant. I have know 40 but I have also seen 42 because of counting in the last LMP.

Anyone know?
