Confused and why dont they pick up!!

Basically I am taking over the family business to help my dad. He is doing all the paperwork side of things so no idea about anything to do with that.
My income support stopped as I told them I was going self employed. I get child tax credits but whenever I call them to let them know I am going self employed I never can get through!! It wont even ring for me to hold it will just cut off after saying call back at a later time?? My income support stopped yesterday as im going self employed from yesterday however the shop is closed for a few weeks maybe a month to get it all done up so in this time I will have no income. So confused about what to do

Can you keep trying or go to the job centre? They have free phone systems there so you won't have to pay as they cost a lot!

Either that or you could try writing, I don't think they have an email service available?
