We have been TTC since September last year and had our first pregnancy and subsequent MC in December last year (missed MC at 8 weeks). We waited one cycle per dr instructions and got PG right away! I had very few symptoms of pregnancy (no nausea or breast tenderness) but I had very few pg symptoms the first go round as well. A few days after taking 4 very dark positive tests, I had some sporadic brown spotting. I immediately met with my doctor and did hcg level testing and was told no working out for 2 weeks. At exactly 5 weeks, my level was 12269 (really high, right?) but 48 hours later they only went up by about 1500 points. I have an u/s scheduled for Wednesday to check everything out, but the spotting has pretty much stopped (was on/off for about 4 days - only brown, not enough to fill a panty liner and no cramping). All of a sudden I am feeling some mild pg symptoms - nipple tenderness and loss of appetite. I feel like my body can't decide whether it is pg or not! Any insight into what to expect at my u/s on wed? I have mentally told myself another MC is imminent due to the slow rising hcg, but the lack of pain and cramping seems odd as well as the late showing PG symptoms. Help!!

I hope everything goes ok. I had brown spotting at 6 weeks and was so nervous because I have also miscarried and that is how it first started. I had the brown spotting for about 2 days, then it stopped, then came back a few days later for about a day. I went for an early ultrasound too and everything checked out fine! They think it was just implantation spotting that took its time coming out. My levels were also quite high. I heard once you get to be a few weeks along, the hcg doesn't rise as fast? But I'm not positive...

Try not to worry! There is just now way of knowing until you u/s! I hope good news for you!!
