Aoibheann was taking four ounces every four hours at 8 , 12 , 4 , 8 12 and four and was doing well . She started to seem hungrier so now I've been giving her five every four hours . But the last few nights she hasn't woken at her four in the morning feed , so i didn't wake her for it , is this ok ? Or should I be ? At night I wake her for her twelve feed before bed because I want her to get enough food. please be kind if im wrong im really confused and seeking advice . :dohh:

She will start dropping feeds, it's normal with formula feeding. At 4 wks Omar was only waking up once for feed after 6-8 hrs of sleeping. U can just increase the quantities during day feeds to make up for the night feed she's skipping xx

Thank you :) I can sleep easy knowing im not starving her

I wish to be at this stage already! Oliver is still waking up during the night 2,3 times. He's taking 4 oz every 3 h. Sometimes he get asleep during night feeds and wake up after an hour to feed again :/

Snap!! my little one is 5 weeks and takes 5oz, when does it get better!!

As nmwb78 said, sounds like she is dropping a feed. Joe at first woke 3-4 times in the night and then dropped to twice, once and then slept through from around 11pm-6am at about 7 or 8 weeks.
You could start adding another oz to the daytime bottles if she is draining the bottles x

my LO is 3 weeks and has dropped one night feed since we were told to up his milk to 5oz.

My HV has suggested putting him on hungry baby milk for his last feed to see if he will go the whole night.

So i wouldnt worry to much that your LO has dropped one feed. I have noticed with my LO he takes more out of his bottles during the day so i guess he is full by night time :) x

well shes slept through , ever since I first posted and seems content on 5 ounces so far yay!!

My Anna done this too, but she wasnt making up for dropping the night feed by taking any extra during the day. I was worried about this but HV said its not a problem.

In Annas first 4 weeks we had to make sure she was fed during the night as she had lost a lot of weight early on, but if your LO is gaining weight well then let her sleep and feed when she wants:flower:

So, Anna dropped the night feed around 7 wks, and now at 11 wks she is waking up for it again!

HA so I wont feel to blessed , Ive no doubt she'll want it again .
