Hiya,

I have PCOS and quite irregular cycles (22-45 days) but for the last few days been having AF like symptoms (cramps, tender boobs, back pain) but no sign of AF. I decided to do the preg test I had left over from March when I thought I might be, and got a strange result. It's one of the sainsburys ones, and it has a defo line in the pregnancy window, but a very thin control line? I'm going to try and post a pic, but have a really crappy phone cam so might not be the best. I don't want to trust it as the control is so thin I'm afraid its a dud but just wanted to see if anyone had a similar result and had it turn out to be a :bfp: ?

Thanks x

Really rubbish pics but maybe u can get a rough idea?

from the thumbnail piccys it looks like a bfp to me but its too blurry to see when i enlarge the piccy.

Looks like a :bfp: to me! Fx crossed for you that it is!! Can you retest with a frer or another brand to be sure?

huns it dnt matter how thin or thick control line is as long as there's a line with colour it means the test is valid so ya congrats on ur :bfp: also if u got NO line in control window but in preg window this is invalid so what u have is a bean my girl congrats again xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

I really hope it is your :bfp: but if I were you I'd try another brand to be sure because I once had a strong false :bfp: on one of these tests.

FX for you

Crikey - thats looks like a :bfp: to me!

Congratulations!

Even with the blurriness - there's definitely 2 lines there
Congrats :happydance:

OMG no doubt about it, its a :bfp:

Thanks for all the kind words everyone, but I don't think I'm pregnant.

I did a first response test with fmu, and got a definite :bfn:, not even the slightest hint of a line, which means that my sainsburys test was just a dud.

Although I tried not to I still really got my hopes up about this

Hiya just wanted to re open this thread and see if anyone has any words of wisdom? I've been looking at that pic again (obsessing!) and it really looks like a :bfp: I still have the test and the line is still there and purple, not grey so I don't think its an evap. I've done another test since though and that came up :bfn: AF is mega mega late, (on cd 68!) which could be down to my PCOS but still seems unusual because my cycles have been quite regular (no more than 45 days anyway) for the last year, and I've not gained weight or changed meds or anything. I've actually lost weight so its all a bit strange. I don't have any pg symptoms really either though, except sore boobs and feeling a bit tired but that could be down to anything. I don't wanna waste any more money on hpts if they are gonna just keep saying the same thing but I can't stop thinking about it aaaah :hissy: x

I have no words of wisdom but i wanted to give you a  i really hope you get some answers soon!

Maybe take your positve test to the drs and ask for bloods. Tell them you haven't had af since but a second test came back inconclusive. It's the only way to know for sure really. Good luck fx

Whens the last time you took a test?

X

I took that test (sainsburys) on 3rd June and it came up positive, then I took another test (first response) on the 4th June and it was neg. Took another one (predictor) on 15th June and it was neg but had a very very very very faint line after a while that was most likely an evap. I think I'm just gonna have to go to the docs. Its just so strange that the first test was a :bfp: and I've not had another since. I didn't think false positives ever happened

I would do one more test chic as the last one was on the 15th, so you'll know for sure. Also, I think predictor is 100mlu!

X
