I have bought some brother max food portioners to store purees in the freezer(the small ones)

However already i am finding that 1 small one is not enough for lo so use 2 each time.. I am now thinking i should get the large ones- these come in a pack of 4 though so how many of these would i need if im planning to make fresh food twice a week?

Are the ordinary plastic containers from tesco/asda etc ok to use? as these will work out to be much cheaper...

Hi

I'm not sure if i'm right because we aren't quite into this stage yet but our health visitor told us just to use ice cube trays and just keep upping the cubes as LO need sit so at first you might just deforst 1 ice cube worth the next two r three and such like.

Yeah use a mixture of ice cube trays and normal tupperware type boxes. I have some of those special tiny pots too. As long as they say they're recommended for freezer and microwave.

A tip though....don't fill too much, just about 3/4 full as the food expands when frozen:dohh:....I found out the hard way:blush::rofl:

I have the jojomamanbebe 6 months + ones which Alasdair already eats 2 of each meal. I wish I'd just used normal icecube trays now!

we use the following:

the annabel karmel ice cube trays and these:

https://www.mothercare.com/gp/produ...?ie=UTF8&m=A2LBKNDJ2KZUGQ&n=42865041&mcb=core - and normally use two at a time and mix with another flavour

https://www.mothercare.com/Large-fr...ing=UTF8&m=A2LBKNDJ2KZUGQ&n=75699031&mcb=core

and have two sets of these, but in humphreys corner https://www.mothercare.com/Fun-Zoo-...ing=UTF8&m=A2LBKNDJ2KZUGQ&n=42764041&mcb=core

We use ice cube trays to freeze the purees and once their frozen I transfer them to freezer bags (writing the contents and date on the outside)

hmmmm thanks ladies!!

hi i freeze the meals in the ice cube trays then i take out 3 cubes and put it in to a snap lock bag and i date it and put on there wht meal is it.tht way u can keep reuseing the ice cube trays for differant meals and doing the same.then i just pull one packet out at meal times then put it in a bowl the heat it up
